How pricing works: per vehicle rather than per person, set as a fixed price for your suburb’s zone. The $55 floor applies to the suburbs closest to the airport; the figure rises with distance. Each suburb page below carries its own from-price.

CGC Airport Transfers runs pre-booked private transfers between Gold Coast Airport (OOL) and every Gold Coast suburb, the Tweed Coast and the Northern Rivers down to Byron Bay. Every booking is a private transfer — one booking, one vehicle, no shared stops. It is not a taxi, rideshare or shared shuttle and unlike the kerbside scramble at the pickup zone, your driver is waiting inside the terminal when you land. Operating across South East Queensland since 2020.

Start with your suburb. Every suburb below links to its own page with that route’s distance, drive time, from-price, suggested pickup times and local pickup detail. If you already know what you need, the booking form gives you an exact quote from your street address in about two minutes.

The Short Answer

Gold Coast Airport transfers are a fixed price by zone, GST included with no tolls on the OOL run: from $55 sedan / $85 Kia Carnival for the southern beaches from Coolangatta to Palm Beach (roughly 5–17 km, inside 25 minutes), $90 / $120 for Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach (about 18–28 km, 25–40 minutes), $100 / $130 for Southport and Main Beach, $115 / $140 for Labrador and Parkwood, and $130 / $160 for Helensvale and Coomera (30–50 km, 35–55 minutes). Across the border Tweed Heads is $55 / $85, Kingscliff $90 / $120 and Byron Bay $170 / $220 (about 70 km, roughly an hour). Pickups from the airport cost more than drop-offs — Surfers Paradise $105 / $135 — because they include the airport access fee and in-terminal meet and greet, and every figure is locked at booking.

Southern Gold Coast

The airport’s own backyard — the beach strip from Palm Beach through Burleigh to Mermaid, plus Robina inland. Short runs of roughly 5–17km, most done inside 25 minutes and where the $55 sedan floor sits.

Central Gold Coast

The tower precincts, the Broadwater and the inland residential belt. Roughly 18–28km down the Gold Coast Highway or M1 — around 25 to 40 minutes to the terminal.

Northern Gold Coast

The Broadwater’s northern reach and the estate belt out to Pimpama and the hinterland edge — the longest Gold Coast runs to OOL, at roughly 30–50km and 35 to 55 minutes depending on the M1.

Northern NSW

Cross-border runs under Queensland Booked Hire licensing with no border-crossing surcharge — and for this stretch of coast, OOL is the local airport. Tweed Heads is minutes from the terminal; Byron Bay is around 70km, roughly an hour. NSW child restraint rules differ from Queensland’s; see the FAQs below.

How Gold Coast Airport Pricing Works

✓ Prices & details last updated 12 October 2026

Short answer: every Gold Coast suburb has a fixed, published price — Gold Coast Airport drop-offs from $55 sedan or $85 Kia Carnival, pickups from $70, and Brisbane Airport from $190 sedan or $240 Carnival, GST and tolls included. The nearest suburbs are minutes from OOL; Byron Bay is around 70km, roughly an hour. Find your suburb below for its exact fare.

Sedan or similar from $55

Passengers1–3

Luggage2 large cases + carry-on

Best forCouples, solo & business travel

Pricing is per vehicle, not per person, fixed for your suburb’s zone and locked at booking for the Gold Coast Airport terminal. The from-prices above are the floor — they apply to the suburbs nearest the airport and the figure rises with distance, so Byron Bay starts around $170 sedan. Each suburb page carries that route’s own from-price and the booking form returns the exact figure for your street address.

In-terminal meet & greet included on every Gold Coast Airport pickup — no extra charge
GST included in every displayed price
No tolls on the OOL run — Gold Coast Airport routes use toll-free roads, so there’s nothing to add
Price locked at booking — no surge at any time of year, no metered fare, no fuel levy
No last-minute surcharge — the same rate today as four weeks out
Standard hours 6am–9pm. After-hours pickups between 9pm and 6am are pre-bookable, with the fee calculated and confirmed inside the quote
Higher rate on Easter Sunday only (closed on Christmas Day) — every other public holiday at standard rate
No border-crossing surcharge on Northern NSW runs
Child seats $35 per seat, itemised in the quote at booking and fitted before pickup

Booking a return? Book both legs on one reservation and each leg is quoted and locked before you confirm. Book both legs on one reservation and a 5% discount applies to the return leg. Your airport pickup leg is flight-monitored, with your driver waiting inside the terminal and an SMS confirming the meet point before you land.

“The thing people miss about Coolangatta is how close it is to half the Coast — Burleigh to the terminal is a coffee, and I’ve done Palm Beach to the kerb in eleven minutes at 4am. The zones on this page are built around that: short run, small number.”
— Chris, owner-driver

In-Terminal Meet & Greet — Included on Every OOL Pickup

Your driver is inside the terminal, not out in the pickup zone

Every Gold Coast Airport arrival includes a meet & greet at no extra charge. Your flight is monitored, the pickup follows your actual landing and your driver is waiting inside the terminal when you walk through — no ride-hail queue, no circling the kerbside zone, no phoning around a car park with your bags. Before you land you’ll receive an SMS confirming your driver and exactly where to meet, so the handover takes seconds even on your first visit.

Finding Your Way Around the Terminal

Gold Coast Airport runs a single integrated terminal at Coolangatta — domestic and international share the same building, so there’s no terminal to choose between, no transfer bus and no wrong-building risk on an early departure. Check-in, security, the departure lounge and arrivals all sit off the one concourse.

New to OOL and want the detail? Our Gold Coast Airport terminal guide covers the terminal layout, how early to arrive for domestic versus international, the Qantas and Virgin lounges, parking rates and exactly where your driver meets you on arrival.

Gold Coast Airport moved more than 6.2 million travellers in 2025 through that one terminal, according to its own newsroom — one arrivals hall and one kerb, which is why a name sign inside it is the whole meet-and-greet and why the pickup fares on this page carry the airport access fee.

The Fleet

Sedan or similar — from $55 to OOL. 1–3 passengers, 2 large suitcases plus carry-on. No boards; scales to the Carnival.

Kia Carnival — from $85 to OOL. Up to 7 passengers, up to 5 child seats, 6 large suitcases, up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags.

Groups of 8–11 take the 12-seat VW Crafter (up to 11 passengers) — up to 8 large suitcases for a full group (luggage trailer for more), longer boards, wedding and conference manifests. Anything above 11 runs as multiple vehicles under one reservation. Flag child seats, surfboards or oversized gear at booking and the vehicle is matched to the manifest.

Gold Coast Airport or Brisbane Airport?

The short answer

If your flight departs from one of them, that’s your answer — check the ticket first. Otherwise it comes down to the route network. Gold Coast Airport (OOL) handles domestic east-coast, New Zealand and short-haul Asia-Pacific and for most of the Gold Coast and the Tweed it’s the closer, cheaper run on toll-free roads. Brisbane Airport (BNE) carries the full international long-haul widebody network — Dubai, Doha, Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, London — plus wider domestic capacity.

From the southern Gold Coast the gap is stark: Coolangatta is walking distance from OOL and 110km from BNE. From the northern end it narrows and for some addresses BNE is the closer airport. Every suburb page states its own distance. See the Brisbane Airport route directory for the BNE mirror of this page, the Brisbane Airport terminal guide for how that airport is laid out and the airport transfer pricing guide to work through the decision.

How much is an airport transfer on the Gold Coast?

Fixed prices, published per suburb. To Gold Coast Airport, drop-offs start at $55 sedan for the closest beaches and step up with distance; airport pickups start from $70 because they include the airport access fee and an in-terminal meet inside arrivals. To Brisbane Airport, southern Gold Coast suburbs start from $190 sedan or $240 Kia Carnival, Gateway toll and GST included. The price you are quoted is the price you pay — it is locked when you book, whatever the traffic or the hour. Each suburb page on this site states its own exact figure both ways.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a transfer to Gold Coast Airport?

From $55 in a sedan, $85 in the Kia Carnival (up to 7 passengers). Per vehicle, not per person, with GST already inside the figure. Those are floor prices for the suburbs closest to the airport — the figure rises with distance, so a Surfers Paradise run sits higher than a Palm Beach one and Byron Bay higher again. Each suburb page carries its own from-price.

Is meet & greet really included at Gold Coast Airport?

Yes — on every OOL pickup, at no extra charge. Your driver meets you inside the terminal rather than out in a kerbside pickup zone and you receive an SMS before landing confirming your driver and exactly where to meet.

Does Gold Coast Airport have separate domestic and international terminals?

No — OOL runs a single integrated terminal at Coolangatta covering both, so there’s no terminal to choose between and no transfer bus. Our Gold Coast Airport terminal guide walks through the layout, check-in timing, lounges, parking and the arrivals meet point.

Why does the price vary between suburbs?

Because each suburb falls into a fixed-price zone and different zones carry different set prices — every fare is fixed and locked at booking, never metered. Palm Beach is a few minutes up the highway; Surfers Paradise is around 25km; Pimpama is closer to 50km; Byron Bay is around 70km. The same trip is genuinely a different length of drive depending on where you start and the price reflects that rather than averaging everyone out.

Does the price change after I book?

No. It’s locked when you book — no surge at any time of year, no meter, no fuel levy and no last-minute surcharge. A higher rate applies only on Easter Sunday (closed on Christmas Day). Standard hours are 6am–9pm; an after-hours fee for a 9pm–6am pickup is calculated and confirmed inside the quote before you confirm.

How early do I need to leave for Gold Coast Airport?

Drive time plus 2 hours at the terminal for a domestic flight and plus 3 hours for an international one. Because most Gold Coast suburbs are under 40 minutes from OOL, that usually means a far later pickup than the same flight out of Brisbane — from Burleigh, a 9am domestic works back to roughly a 6:46am pickup. Each suburb page has suggested pickup times for that route.

What if my flight is delayed?

Flight monitoring runs on every airport pickup, so the collection follows your actual landing at no extra charge. There’s no charge for airport waiting time — we generally allow 1 hour after a domestic landing and 90 minutes after an international landing to clear the terminal and collect bags.

Are baby and child seats available?

Yes — Australian-Standards rear-facing baby seats, forward-facing child seats and boosters at $35 per seat, up to five in the Carnival, fitted and safety-checked before pickup and itemised in the quote at booking so you see the total before confirming. Queensland exempts booked hire from the mandatory restraint requirements that apply to private cars, but we fit the correct seat regardless. New South Wales is different — hire vehicles there follow private-car rules, so children under 7 need an approved restraint on any NSW pickup. See our child seats page.

Do you run cross-border to Northern NSW?

Yes — and for the Tweed Coast, OOL is the local airport, with Tweed Heads just minutes from the terminal. Kingscliff, Cabarita, Pottsville, Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers are routine runs under Queensland Booked Hire licensing, with no border-crossing surcharge. During daylight saving (October to April) NSW runs an hour ahead of Queensland — please make all bookings in Queensland time, which is the airport’s local time.

Can you carry surfboards or oversized luggage?

Yes. The Carnival takes up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags; longer boards and larger manifests need the Crafter (up to 11 passengers), which also handles golf clubs, instruments and tradeshow displays. Flag the count, lengths and bag type at booking so the right vehicle and configuration are prepared. See surfboard airport transfers.

Where do you drop off at Gold Coast Airport?

At the departures forecourt, right outside the terminal — Gold Coast Airport runs a single terminal covering both domestic and international flights, so there’s no terminal confusion. Give us the flight number at booking and the pickup time is set to suit your check-in cut-off.

How do I pay?

Online by card at the time of booking — no cash and no in-car payment, so nothing is handled on the day. Corporate accounts are available by prior approval.

What’s the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup for a full credit toward a future booking; within 24 hours, no credit applies, as the vehicle and driver are reserved. If your flight itself is cancelled: full credit beyond 4 hours, 50% between 1.5 and 4 hours, none within 1.5 hours. Credits are non-refundable. Full terms on the About Us page.

My suburb isn’t on the list — do you go there?

Almost certainly. The list above covers the suburbs with their own pages, but we service every Gold Coast address, the hinterland including long unmarked driveways and across Northern NSW. Put your address into the booking form or call 0416 131 285 and you’ll get a locked quote back.

Why do Gold Coast Airport pickups cost more than drop-offs?

Pickups include the airport access fee and an in-terminal meet — your driver parks, comes into the arrivals hall, and helps with bags. A drop-off is kerbside and done, so it prices lower.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle, not per person. The fixed fare covers the whole car — up to 3 passengers in a sedan or up to 7 in the Kia Carnival — so a family pays one fare, not five.

Do the prices change with traffic or time of day?

No. The fare is locked when you book and stays locked — peak hour, wet weather and holiday traffic are our problem, not a surcharge.

My suburb isn’t listed — can I still get a fixed price?

Yes. Run the address through the online quote and you get a fixed figure for the exact door. Every Gold Coast and Tweed suburb is covered, plus Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers.

Do you cover both Gold Coast and Brisbane Airports from every suburb?

Yes — every suburb we serve has a published fare to Gold Coast Airport and to Brisbane Airport, in both directions. Brisbane fares include the Gateway toll.

Tip: the from-price on this page is the floor — the suburbs closest to the airport. Your actual figure depends on the distance from your street address, so go straight to your suburb page above for that route’s real number and put the address into the booking form for an exact quote. It takes about two minutes and gives you a locked figure with GST already inside it — nothing to add later.

The driver (Sharron) notified me of her arrival - which was early - but really suited me; although, please don't think that she was pressuring me as she was prepared to wait. It was a pleasure looking after you, and we’d be more than happy to assist again whenever you’re back on the Gold Coast.
Kind regards,
Chris

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. How good is this service! Huge storm no visability but no issues. Big delay and went another way and delivered me to the airport ahead of schedule. Perhaps they could manage the aircraft as it was a steep downhill after this terrific service

Owner's reply
Thanks so much for the awesome review! That storm was abit Nuts, so I’m glad we still got you to the airport nice and early. Gotta say, we loved the aircraft joke too!

Thanks again for choosing CGC Airport Transfers. See you when you return.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently travelled from Adelaide to Gold Coast for a short holiday to celebrate my mum's 60th and as a big family reunion. Chris, the proprietor and manager of CGC Transfers, initially our Uber driver, had picked us up from the airport and has provided us with the friendliest and most accommodating private transport experience. After Chris had informed us of his Private Transport business, I asked for a quote on the spot based on our itinerary and he was quick to provide with no hidden costs or issues. The price was fair given the high demands of the season and it comes with excellent communication and service from your own private driver. Highly recommend to book CGC Transfers particularly if you're in larger groups of 5-8 plus luggage. Thanks again Chris, hope to have you look after us again in the future.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had Zaffa as our driver from Biggera Waters to the Gold Coast Airport on 30/4/25, could not have been happier that we selected them for our transport. Zaf was on time, car was great and a very pleasant trip. Also cheaper than a Taxi.
