Those are floor prices for the closest northern Gold Coast suburbs — the figure rises with distance, so a Surfers Paradise run sits higher than a Coomera one, and Byron Bay higher again. Because it’s calculated on road distance. Coomera is a short run north; Surfers Paradise is around 85km; Coolangatta is 110km; Byron Bay is 165km. The same trip is genuinely a different length of drive depending on where you start, and the price reflects that rather than averaging everyone out.

No. It’s locked when you book — no surge at any time of year, no meter, no fuel levy and no last-minute surcharge. A higher rate applies only on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. Standard hours are 5am–9pm; an after-hours fee for a 9pm–5am pickup is calculated and confirmed inside the quote before you confirm.

The rule is drive time plus 1.5 hours for domestic and plus 3 hours for international. From Surfers Paradise that’s a 6:10am pickup for a 9am domestic, or 4:40am for a 9am international. Flight monitoring runs on every airport pickup, so the collection follows your actual landing at no extra charge. There’s no charge for airport waiting time — we generally allow 30 to 45 minutes after a domestic landing and 45 minutes to 1 hour after an international landing to clear the terminal and collect bags.

Yes — Australian-Standards capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters, up to five in the Carnival, fitted before pickup. They’re an optional extra, itemised in the quote at booking so you see the total before confirming. Queensland exempts booked hire from the mandatory restraint requirements that apply to private cars, but CGC fits the correct seat regardless. Yes. Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Byron Bay, Ballina and the Northern Rivers are routine runs under Queensland Booked Hire licensing, with no border-crossing surcharge. During daylight saving (October to April) NSW runs an hour ahead of Queensland — pickup times are confirmed in your local NSW time, with the flight calculation accounting for the QLD arrival at BNE.

Yes. The Carnival takes up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags, with boards to roughly 7’2″ fitting diagonally; longer boards and larger manifests need the Transporter, which also handles golf clubs, instruments and tradeshow displays.
