Palm Beach to BNE vs Palm Beach to OOL
| Factor | Palm Beach → BNE | Palm Beach → OOL |
|---|---|---|
| Distance | Approximately 102 km | Approximately 11 km |
| Drive time (off-peak) | 1h 25min–1h 30min | Around 15 minutes |
| Primary route | Gold Coast Highway → M1 north → Logan → Gateway | Gold Coast Highway south through Currumbin and Tugun to Bilinga |
| Best for | Major international connections and wider domestic capacity | Domestic east-coast, New Zealand and short-haul international |
OOL is the closer option for most Palm Beach travel — see our Palm Beach to OOL page. BNE is the right choice when the flight network demands it — the international long-haul widebody network out of Brisbane with connections to Dubai, Doha, Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and London, routes not normally available from OOL. If you’re unsure which airport your itinerary points at, the airport transfer pricing guide walks through the decision.
Brisbane Airport Terminals From Palm Beach
Domestic Terminal — Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar and regional services, with the wider mainline capacity for interstate travel to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
International Terminal — major international carriers including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand and Fiji Airways. Flight details are checked before travel so the correct terminal is used. For terminal layout and check-in planning, see our Brisbane Airport terminal guide.
What’s Included on Every Palm Beach to Brisbane Airport Booking
Door-to-Door Service
Pickup from any Palm Beach address — Jefferson Lane beachfront laneway apartment (with access-avenue entry captured at booking), Cypress Terrace new-build complex, Nineteenth Avenue café-strip short-stay rental, Palm Beach Avenue or numbered avenue grid (Eleventh–Twenty-Eighth) family residential, Gold Coast Highway strip apartment including Palm Beach Plaza, Tallebudgera Creek Bridge boundary residential and border address.
Jefferson Lane runs parallel to the beach behind the foredune — apartments front the laneway, accessed exclusively off the numbered avenues, not from the Gold Coast Highway. CGC captures the specific access avenue (“Twenty-First Avenue laneway entrance”, “Sixteenth Avenue laneway entry”) on the booking record. This helps avoid pickup confusion where app-based navigation can direct drivers to the Gold Coast Highway side of the building rather than the Jefferson Lane entrance.

Palm Beach: Southern Gold Coast Beachfront with Jefferson Lane Laneway Access
Palm Beach occupies the southern Gold Coast between Currumbin to the south and the Tallebudgera Creek Bridge to the north — bounded by the Pacific Ocean on the east and the Gold Coast Highway / Pacific Motorway corridor on the west. Palm Beach Parklands at the creek mouth and the Tallebudgera Surf Club anchor the northern boundary precinct.
The numbered avenue grid defines Palm Beach’s geography. The avenues run Eleventh through Twenty-Eighth Avenue, each connecting the Gold Coast Highway to the beachfront in a straight east-west spine. Jefferson Lane runs parallel to the beach behind the foredune and its apartments front the laneway — accessed exclusively off those numbered avenues.
The café-strip and lifestyle scene anchors the suburb’s character. Nineteenth Avenue runs as the village heart with restaurants, cafés, boutique retail and short-stay rentals, generating routine Sunday-afternoon and Monday-morning BNE departure demand as weekend guests check out. Cypress Terrace new-build apartment complexes have added significant short-stay capacity and the Palm Beach Plaza shopping centre rounds out the commercial precincts.
Gold Coast Airport (OOL) sits approximately 11km south of Palm Beach and is generally the preferred airport for domestic travel — see our Palm Beach to OOL page. BNE is the right choice when the flight network demands it — major long-haul international routes to Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia not normally available from OOL. Travelling with young children? The airport transfers with kids page covers restraint combinations in detail.
Fleet Available From Palm Beach
Two core vehicles handle the majority of Palm Beach to Brisbane Airport bookings — the Sedan or similar for 1–3 passengers (Jefferson Lane beachfront couples, executive solo and international couple departures) and the Kia Carnival for families with child seats arranged at booking, multi-suitcase international manifests and Nineteenth Avenue short-stay wrap-ups. For groups of 8–11, the 12-seater Transporter handles Palm Beach beachfront wedding parties, multi-family group movements and group short-stay rental check-out departures.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan or similar | 1–3 passengers | Up to 2 large suitcases (plus carry-on) | Jefferson Lane beachfront couples, executive solo, international couple departures |
| Kia Carnival | Up to 7 passengers | Up to 6 large suitcases | Families with child seats arranged at booking, multi-suitcase international, Nineteenth Avenue short-stay wrap-ups, Cypress Terrace new-build family departures, surfboards (up to 3 in 1–2 bags) |
| 12-seater Transporter | 8–11 passengers | Up to 10 large suitcases | Palm Beach beachfront wedding parties, multi-family group movements, group short-stay rental check-out departures |
Real Scenario: Jefferson Lane Couple to BNE International — 7am Flight to Hong Kong
A couple in their early forties living in a Jefferson Lane beachfront apartment has a 7am international flight from BNE International to Hong Kong for a two-week Asia business-and-holiday trip. Two travellers with two large suitcases and two carry-ons.
The booking is placed three weeks ahead with the Twenty-First Avenue laneway entrance specified, the unit number, the flight number for tracking and a note that the apartment is “third on the right after entering the laneway from Twenty-First Avenue”. The locked quote covers the Sedan rate including GST and the Gateway Motorway toll, with the early-morning after-hours surcharge (2:30am pickup well inside the 9pm–5am window) calculated and confirmed in the online quote. CGC allocates a Sedan and the booking system schedules the pickup at the Twenty-First Avenue laneway entrance — drive time plus the 3-hour international buffer — confirmed in the night-before SMS with the third-on-the-right apartment pre-briefed.
The vehicle arrives at the scheduled time, turning off the Gold Coast Highway onto Twenty-First Avenue, driving east toward the beachfront, then entering the Jefferson Lane laneway — the apartment is exactly third on the right as captured on the booking. Loading takes under three minutes: two suitcases in the rear cargo, two carry-ons on the rear seat. The journey proceeds back via Twenty-First Avenue onto the Gold Coast Highway and onto the M1 northbound at the nearest access. The early-morning Monday corridor runs completely clear through Burleigh, Helensvale, Pimpama and Yatala and the vehicle reaches BNE International with comfortable time for check-in, with the lounge open before the early-morning widebody to Hong Kong.
CGC Private Transfer vs Rideshare from Palm Beach
| Factor | CGC pre-booked | Rideshare |
|---|---|---|
| Jefferson Lane laneway pickup | ✓ Specific access avenue (“Twenty-First Avenue laneway entrance”) captured at booking — driver pulls into the correct laneway entry | ✗ App-based navigation can direct drivers to the Gold Coast Highway side of the building where there is no laneway access |
| Pricing on the day | ✓ Fixed pricing based on your exact pickup address, locked at booking — no surge regardless of event weekends | ✗ Dynamic surge applies early morning, peak periods and event weekends |
| Gateway Motorway toll | ✓ Included in the locked quote | ✗ Added on top of the surge fare |
| Numbered avenue grid knowledge | ✓ Eleventh–Twenty-Eighth Avenue flow, one-way sections and café-strip access patterns known | ✗ Map-dependent routing, frequent confusion in the dense avenue grid |
| Cypress Terrace new-build access | ✓ Building names, lobby access and basement-pickup arrangements captured | ✗ App-based navigation can sometimes direct drivers to secondary entrances or incorrect pickup points |
| Nineteenth Avenue short-stay wrap-up | ✓ Keysafe codes and specific apartment entries captured for Sunday/Monday departures | ✗ Short-stay rental access frequently fails |
| Long-leg BNE acceptance (102km) | ✓ Routine 1h 25–30min run, accepted at booking | ✗ Long airport trips can be less reliable through rideshare because acceptance depends on driver availability, timing and vehicle suitability |
| Early-morning availability (2am–5am) | ✓ Pre-booked early morning transfers available, rostered for the shift | ✗ Driver availability can be limited in the southern Gold Coast early morning |
| QLD child seats | ✓ Correct seat fitted before pickup when arranged at booking | ✗ Not provided as standard |
| Flight details checked and monitored | ✓ Standard on every booking | ✗ Not available |

Frequently Asked Questions on Palm Beach to Brisbane Airport
How much does Palm Beach to Brisbane Airport cost?
A fixed $230 Sedan or similar, $300 Kia Carnival for the 102km run — based on standard operating hours 5am–9pm, with the Gateway toll included and the final quote locked at booking. Per vehicle, not per passenger. All prices include GST. After-hours, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday and optional extras may incur additional charges.
How long does Palm Beach to Brisbane Airport take?
Around 1h 25min–1h 30min off-peak — approximately 102km via the Gold Coast Highway, the M1, the Logan Motorway merge and the Gateway Motorway into BNE. Weekday peak adds 20–35 minutes through Yatala and the Logan Motorway merge. If you’re travelling in peak periods, allow up to 2 hours for the run.
How far is Palm Beach from Brisbane Airport?
Approximately 102km by road via the M1 Pacific Motorway, Logan Motorway and Gateway Motorway. Gold Coast Airport (OOL), by contrast, is only around 11km south.
Is the Gateway Motorway toll included?
Yes. Already inside the locked quote — no separate toll charge on arrival.
Are there after-hours charges?
Yes. Displayed pricing is based on standard operating hours from 5am to 9pm. After-hours transfers between 9pm and 5am may incur an additional surcharge, which is calculated and confirmed in your online quote before booking. Most Palm Beach international BNE departures sit in the early-morning widebody window, so this often applies.
How does Jefferson Lane pickup work?
Jefferson Lane runs parallel to the beach behind the foredune. Apartments front the laneway, accessed exclusively off the numbered avenues (Eleventh through Twenty-Eighth) — not from the Gold Coast Highway. Include the specific access avenue in the booking notes (“Twenty-First Avenue laneway entrance, third on the right”). This helps avoid pickup confusion where app-based navigation can direct drivers to the Gold Coast Highway side of the building rather than the Jefferson Lane entrance.
Do you pick up from Nineteenth Avenue cafés and short-stay rentals?
Yes. Nineteenth Avenue is the café-strip heart of Palm Beach and a core pickup point. Short-stay rentals generate routine Sunday-afternoon and Monday-morning BNE departure demand. Specify the apartment building, unit number and keysafe code in the booking.
When does BNE make sense instead of OOL?
OOL sits approximately 11km south of Palm Beach — around 15 minutes by road — and is generally the preferred airport for domestic and short-haul travel. The BNE run is for major long-haul international routes not normally available from OOL and some domestic connections may be better routed through BNE depending on airline schedules. See our Palm Beach to OOL page.
What pickup time do I need for a 9am international flight?
Approximately 4:30am. Drive plus the 3-hour international buffer lands you at BNE International around 6:00am for check-in. A pre-5am pickup falls outside standard hours and may attract an after-hours surcharge.
What pickup time do I need for a 9am domestic flight?
Approximately 6:00am. Drive plus the 1.5-hour domestic buffer lands you at BNE Domestic around 7:30am for check-in.
Are child seats available?
Yes. Child seats are arranged at booking and CGC fits the correct rear-facing capsule, forward-facing seat or booster on request. Queensland exempts booked hire from the mandatory restraint requirements that apply to private cars, but CGC fits the correct seat anyway — provide each child’s age and approximate size at booking. Multi-child configurations are handled in the Carnival. An additional child seat cost applies and is added to your quote at booking. See Queensland child restraint exemptions.
Can you carry surfboards to the airport?
Yes. The Kia Carnival fits up to 3 boards in 1–2 board bags alongside passenger luggage — boards up to around 7’2″ fit diagonally and longer boards need the Transporter. Flag the board count, lengths and bag type at booking so the right vehicle and rear configuration are prepared.
Do you pick up from Palm Beach Plaza?
Yes. Palm Beach Plaza shopping centre and the surrounding Gold Coast Highway strip apartments are core pickup points. Specify the building lobby or unit number in the booking.
Are early-morning pickups available from Palm Beach?
Yes. Pre-booked early morning and after-hours transfers are available and early-morning 2am–5am pickups are routine for international BNE departures, which sit in the early-morning widebody window. Pickups before 5am fall outside standard operating hours and may attract an after-hours surcharge, confirmed in your online quote.
Do you surge for school holidays or event weekends?
No. The same locked rate applies year-round, including school holidays, Magic Millions and Gold Coast 500 event weekends. A higher rate applies only on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. Book early during peak periods.
Do you charge for waiting time at Brisbane Airport?
No. There is no extra charge for airport waiting time. On arrivals we monitor your flight and generally allow 30 to 45 minutes after a domestic landing and 45 minutes to 1 hour after an international landing, for you to clear the terminal and collect your bags. You will receive a text confirming your transfer and where to meet the driver.
Is the return trip from Brisbane Airport the same price?
Not quite — the inbound leg is quoted separately and generally sits a little above the outbound, because runs starting at Brisbane Airport carry the airport access fee that outbound trips don’t. Both legs go on one reservation and both figures are shown before you confirm, so there’s no guesswork. We monitor your inbound flight and because where you’re met depends on which arrivals area your flight comes into, you’ll receive a text confirming your transfer with the exact meet point and arrival instructions — then we drop you at your Jefferson Lane apartment, Cypress Terrace complex, short-stay rental or numbered-avenue home.
How much luggage can each vehicle take?
The Sedan or similar handles up to 2 large suitcases plus carry-on, the Kia Carnival up to 6 — plus up to 3 surfboards in 1–2 bags — while the 12-seater Transporter holds up to 10. Flag your bags and any prams or boards at booking so the right vehicle is sent.
How do I pay?
You pay online by card when the booking is made, so nothing is handled in the car. Corporate accounts are available by prior approval.
What is the cancellation and flight-change policy?
Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup for a full credit toward a future booking; within 24 hours, no credit applies. If a flight is cancelled, you get a full credit beyond 4 hours, a 50% credit from 1.5 to 4 hours and none inside 1.5 hours. Credits are non-refundable and carry to your next trip. The full terms are on our About Us page.
Can you take a group of more than 11?
Yes. For parties above 11 — wedding groups, multi-family movements or group short-stay check-outs — we run a multi-vehicle booking with several vehicles allocated together under one reservation. Send the total passenger and luggage numbers and we organise the fleet.
