The Short Answer
Every CGC driver holds a Queensland driver authorisation, which needs criminal history, driving history and medical checks, and completes CGC’s own onboarding course before their first job. Every vehicle is licensed for booked hire, every booking carries commercial passenger insurance, and you get your driver’s name and number by 5pm the day before.

Checks Every Driver Holds
Every CGC driver holds a current Queensland driver authorisation, issued by Transport and Main Roads for booked hire and other personalised transport work. Getting one takes a criminal history check, a driving history check and a medical fitness assessment, and it has to stay current for the driver to keep working.
CGC’s Onboarding Course
Before their first CGC job, every driver completes CGC’s own onboarding course. It runs through Queensland’s personalised transport requirements in four modules, each with a knowledge check, and finishes with a signed declaration and a certificate.
The Vehicles
- Each vehicle holds its own Queensland booked hire service licence, and every booking carries comprehensive commercial passenger insurance.
- Late-model, unbranded vehicles, and drivers in smart-casual dress.
- The fleet: Toyota Camry or Tesla sedans, the 7-seat Kia Carnival and the 12-seater VW Crafter (up to 11 passengers).
- Baby seats, child seats and boosters meet AS/NZS 1754 and are fitted and checked by the driver before pickup, $35 each.
What to Expect From Your Driver
- The day before: your driver’s name and contact number by text or email by 5pm.
- On the day: a message when your driver is on the way, and your flight tracked on every airport pickup.
- Gold Coast Airport: your driver waits inside arrivals, at the exit near baggage collection, with your name on a sign.
- Brisbane Airport: pickups are kerbside at the pre-booked pickup bays, with in-terminal meet and greet a $49 add-on.
- Your bags: loading and unloading is part of every trip, and on night drop-offs your driver waits in the vehicle until you’re through the door.
- Paying: every transfer is pre-paid by card through the secure payment link, so there’s nothing to pay in the car.
Requests
You can ask for a driver by name, including Chris, and we’ll assign them wherever the roster allows. A female driver can be requested too; it’s considered when the driver is assigned, but it’s a request rather than a guarantee.
