Should I fly from Brisbane Airport or Gold Coast Airport from Lennox Head?

BNE (192km, ~2h 10–15min) operates the full international long-haul network plus widebody surf-travel to the Maldives, Indonesia and Central America, including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand. Gold Coast Airport is closer (~85km, 1h 5–10min) and handles domestic east-coast routes plus New Zealand, Bali and Fiji direct. Most Lennox Head travellers use BNE for long-haul and Gold Coast Airport for domestic and short-haul Asia-Pacific — see our Gold Coast Airport (OOL) route information hub for that option.

Do you service Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads as well as Lennox Head?

Yes. CGC provides Brisbane Airport transfers throughout the Northern Rivers including Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Ocean Shores, Mullumbimby, Bangalow, Suffolk Park, Newrybar and Lennox Head.

Can you fit surfboards on the Lennox Head run?

Yes. The Kia Carnival accommodates up to 3 boards in 1 or 2 board bags plus standard luggage. Lennox Point, Seven Mile Beach and Skennars Head surf-community international surf trips through BNE to Indonesia, the Maldives and Central America are routine bookings. The Sedan or similar does not carry boards. Flag count, lengths and bag type (soft or hard) at booking so the Carnival is allocated.

Do you handle Lennox Point cul-de-sac headland addresses?

Yes. Pacific Parade headland houses sit on narrow streets with limited turning space, particularly at the cul-de-sac end overlooking the point break. Drop the exact street, a distinctive landmark and a turning-area note (“end of cul-de-sac, white timber gate”) into the booking notes; the driver pulls right up to the front door rather than stopping at the end of the street.

What pickup time do I need for a 10am international flight?

Approximately 4:50am. Drive plus the 3-hour international buffer lands you at BNE International around 7:00am for widebody check-in.

How does the NSW–QLD border and daylight saving affect my pickup?

The run crosses the state border at Tweed Heads, then continues north to Brisbane. From October to April, New South Wales runs an hour ahead of Queensland on daylight saving. All CGC pickup times are confirmed in your local NSW pickup time on the booking and the flight-time calculation accounts for the QLD arrival time at BNE — so there is no hour-out confusion before a long early-morning run. The exact time is confirmed in your night-before SMS.

Can you pick up from a Lake Ainsworth holiday rental?

Yes. The northern Lennox Head residential and holiday-rental network around Lake Ainsworth carries significant peak-period demand. Provide the keysafe code or access note on the booking so the driver locates the rental and pulls up at the right entry early morning.

Do you fit child seats from Lennox Head?

Yes. Because pickup is in New South Wales, NSW child restraint law applies — children under 7 must travel in an approved restraint or booster suited to their age and size, with no taxi or hire-car exemption for booked-hire vehicles. CGC provides and fits the correct rear-facing seat, forward-facing seat or booster on request. Child seats are arranged at booking — provide ages and approximate sizes — and an additional child seat cost applies, added to your quote at booking. Do you provide transfers to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal?

Yes. CGC provides private transfers from Lennox Head, Skennars Head, East Ballina and the wider Northern Rivers region to and from the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal for cruise departures and arrivals.

Are early-morning pickups available from Lennox Head?

Yes. Pre-booked early morning and after-hours transfers are available and early-morning 2am–6am pickups are routine for international long-haul BNE departures from Lennox Head village, Lennox Point and the broader surf-coast residential. Pickups before 6am are available by pre-booking and may attract an after-hours surcharge, confirmed in your online quote.

Can I book a return Brisbane Airport to Lennox Head transfer?

Yes. Many travellers book both directions together. We monitor the incoming flight and provide door-to-door drop-off back to Lennox Head village, Lennox Point, Seven Mile Beach, the Lake Ainsworth precinct and surrounding addresses across the 2478 postcode.

What is your cancellation policy?

More than 24 hours out, the full amount converts to a booking credit; within 24 hours of pickup no credit is given. Flight cancelled by the airline? Over 4 hours’ notice brings a full credit, 1.5–4 hours a 50% credit, under 1.5 hours none. Credits apply to any future CGC booking and don’t expire — see our About Us page for the full terms.

What about big groups of more than 11 people?

No problem: we run multi-vehicle bookings for parties above 11, coordinated to depart and arrive together under one booking.

Where will my driver meet me at Brisbane Airport?

Brisbane Airport pickups are kerbside in the designated pickup zone at both the Domestic and International terminals — your SMS booking confirmation includes the exact meet point and arrival instructions. Prefer to be met inside the terminal? Inside-terminal meet and greet is available at BNE as a $49 add-on.

What about the time difference between Queensland and NSW?

Northern NSW runs one hour ahead of Queensland during daylight saving (early October to early April). Every CGC booking is quoted and confirmed in Queensland time, and we handle the conversion — your confirmation spells out the pickup time clearly and your driver plans around your flight, so the border never costs you a flight.

Big delay and went another way and delivered me to the airport ahead of schedule. Perhaps they could manage the aircraft as it was a steep downhill after this terrific service

Chris, the proprietor and manager of CGC Transfers, initially our Uber driver, had picked us up from the airport and has provided us with the friendliest and most accommodating private transport experience. After Chris had informed us of his Private Transport business, I asked for a quote on the spot based on our itinerary and he was quick to provide with no hidden costs or issues. The price was fair given the high demands of the season and it comes with excellent communication and service from your own private driver. Highly recommend to book CGC Transfers particularly if you're in larger groups of 5-8 plus luggage. Thanks again Chris, hope to have you look after us again in the future.
