Around 8:48am from central Currumbin. The 7km run takes 10 to 15 minutes off-peak, plus the 1-hour domestic buffer, landing you at Gold Coast Airport around 9:00am for check-in. Valley pickups start earlier.

Will a driver accept such a short trip?

Yes. A 7km airport run is a routine pre-booked transfer, reserved and confirmed in advance with a driver allocated to it — there’s no fare to decline on the day.

Does CGC surge for Schoolies week or event weekends?

No. CGC does not apply surge pricing on Schoolies week in late November, Currumbin Beach event weekends, school holidays or summer holiday peak — the locked quote applies. A higher rate applies on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday only.

Can I book a return Gold Coast Airport to Currumbin transfer?

Yes. Return transfers can be booked on the same reservation. We monitor the incoming flight and meet you on arrival — you’ll receive a text confirming your transfer and where to meet your driver.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Flight tracking is included on every booking. We monitor the flight in real time and adjust the pickup automatically, at no extra charge and wait time is not charged extra.

What is your cancellation policy?

More than 24 hours out, the full amount converts to a booking credit; within 24 hours of pickup no credit is given. Flight cancelled by the airline? Over 4 hours’ notice brings a full credit, 1.5–4 hours a 50% credit, under 1.5 hours none. Credits apply to any future CGC booking and don’t expire — see our About Us page for the full terms.

What about big groups of more than 11 people?

No problem: we run multi-vehicle bookings for parties above 11, coordinated to depart and arrive together under one booking.

Is meet and greet included at Gold Coast Airport?

Yes — every Gold Coast Airport pickup includes arrivals-hall meet and greet at no extra charge. Your driver waits inside arrivals with a name sign, helps with luggage and walks you to the vehicle.

Tip for Currumbin travellers heading to OOL: the terminal sits in Bilinga-Tugun right next door, so central Currumbin Beach is about 7km and 10 to 15 minutes off-peak — one of the shortest airport runs on the Gold Coast. The practical upshot is that the check-in buffer sets your pickup, not the drive: a 10am domestic flight only needs a pickup around 8:48am, while the same 10am international departure pulls it back to 7:48am. Two Currumbin patterns are worth planning for. If you’re heading out on a surf trip from the Alley or Elephant Rock, flag the boards at booking — up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags fit the Carnival and the Sedan doesn’t carry them at all. And if you’re up Currumbin Creek Road in the valley, drop a driveway landmark into the booking notes; those acreage entrances are hundreds of metres back from the road and near-invisible at 4am and the valley drive also means an earlier start. Pacific Parade apartment guests should include the building name, unit number and lobby code. Queensland child-restraint rules apply on the run, so children under 7 travel in an age-appropriate Australian-Standards seat, fitted before pickup. Schoolies week, event weekends and the summer holiday peak all carry no surge — the locked quote applies regardless.

Family of 4 with lots of luggage, prams etc. The booking process via Chris was a breeze, communication was clear (including on the day with our driver Cam for meeting), the vehicle was immaculately clean / comfortable and the rates are really competitive.

Big delay and went another way and delivered me to the airport ahead of schedule. Perhaps they could manage the aircraft as it was a steep downhill after this terrific service

Chris, the proprietor and manager of CGC Transfers, initially our Uber driver, had picked us up from the airport and has provided us with the friendliest and most accommodating private transport experience. After Chris had informed us of his Private Transport business, I asked for a quote on the spot based on our itinerary and he was quick to provide with no hidden costs or issues. The price was fair given the high demands of the season and it comes with excellent communication and service from your own private driver. Highly recommend to book CGC Transfers particularly if you're in larger groups of 5-8 plus luggage. Thanks again Chris, hope to have you look after us again in the future.

Zaf was on time, car was great and a very pleasant trip. Also cheaper than a Taxi.

CGC Airport Transfers — Currumbin to Gold Coast Airport (OOL) private door-to-door transfers from the southern Gold Coast.
