Bungalora

Small-acreage country between Terranora and the Duroby valley. Narrow lanes and unlit roads are exactly why a pre-booked private car beats waiting on a rideshare that may never accept the job out here.

OOL or BNE From the Border Villages

Gold Coast Airport is the natural choice — 18 to 28 minutes door to terminal against roughly an hour and a half to Brisbane, and the sedan fare is $115 against $275. Brisbane earns its keep when the airfare saving on a direct route beats the extra transfer cost and drive time, or when the flight time simply does not exist out of OOL — see the Brisbane Airport page for these villages.

The form returns the locked fare instantly for any of the five villages — the price on screen is the price you pay.

Is there really a fixed price from these villages now?

Yes — as of 10 September 2026 Duroby, Upper Duroby, Bungalora, Carool and Duranbah share one fixed-fare zone. $115 sedan or $160 Kia Carnival to Gold Coast Airport, $130 or $175 for airport pickups back — per vehicle, locked at booking, no meter and no surge.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle, always. Three passengers in a sedan or seven in a Kia Carnival pay the one fixed figure and split it however they like.

Do all five villages pay the same fare?

Yes — the zone prices as one. A Carool ridge pickup and a Duranbah farm gate both pay $115 sedan to OOL, even though the drive times differ slightly.

Will a rideshare even come out here?

Sometimes — and sometimes the job sits unaccepted while your departure window closes. A pre-booked private transfer is allocated to a named driver the night before, with your gate or driveway location already confirmed. That reliability is the product on unlit rural roads.

Do you handle farm gates and long driveways?

Yes — book both legs on one reservation and the return leg takes 5% off automatically.

Do you monitor the flight?

Every airport booking. Early arrival, late arrival or a gate change — the pickup adjusts and waiting time on delayed flights is not charged.

What happens after 9pm?

Pickups between 9pm and 6am may carry an after-hours fee, confirmed inside your locked quote before you pay — the figure on screen is final.

How long is the drive?

Between about 18 and 28 minutes off-peak depending on the village — Bungalora and Duroby are closest, Carool’s range road takes the longest despite the short distance.

Which terminal does the driver use at OOL?

Gold Coast Airport is a single terminal building at Bilinga covering domestic and international — your driver drops at the departures kerb and meets arrivals inside the hall.

Chris, the proprietor and manager of CGC Transfers, initially our Uber driver, had picked us up from the airport and has provided us with the friendliest and most accommodating private transport experience. After Chris had informed us of his Private Transport business, I asked for a quote on the spot based on our itinerary and he was quick to provide with no hidden costs or issues. The price was fair given the high demands of the season and it comes with excellent communication and service from your own private driver. Highly recommend to book CGC Transfers particularly if you're in larger groups of 5-8 plus luggage. Thanks again Chris, hope to have you look after us again in the future.
