Can you fit surfboards from Kingscliff?

Yes. The 7-seat Kia Carnival carries up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags plus standard luggage. The Sedan doesn’t carry boards, so a Carnival is needed for any board manifest — the Kingscliff, Casuarina, Cudgen and broader Tweed Coast surf community heading on Bali and Fiji surf trips via Gold Coast Airport are routine bookings.

Why choose OOL over BNE from Kingscliff?

Gold Coast Airport is functionally the local airport — about 18km and 20 minutes, versus around 125km and 1h 50min to Brisbane. OOL handles domestic east-coast plus short-haul international to New Zealand, Bali, Fiji and Singapore. Brisbane Airport is the choice for full international long-haul widebody routes. Around 8:40am (Kingscliff local time). The 18km cross-border run takes about 20 minutes off-peak, plus the 1-hour domestic buffer, landing you at Gold Coast Airport around 9:00am for check-in.

Does CGC surge for Schoolies week or Salt Village wedding weekends?

No. CGC does not apply surge pricing on Schoolies week in late November, Salt Village destination-wedding weekends, school holidays or summer holiday peak — the locked quote applies. A higher rate applies on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday only.

Can I book a return Gold Coast Airport to Kingscliff transfer?

Yes. Return transfers can be booked on the same reservation. We monitor the incoming flight and meet you on arrival — you’ll receive a text confirming your transfer and where to meet your driver.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Flight tracking is included on every booking. We monitor the flight in real time and adjust the pickup automatically, at no extra charge and wait time is not charged extra.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Yes — with more than 24 hours’ notice the fare becomes a full credit for a later transfer; no credit applies inside 24 hours. Where the airline cancels the flight, credits scale with notice: 100% beyond 4 hours, 50% from 1.5–4 hours, none under 90 minutes. Credits are non-refundable but hold their value indefinitely. Will my driver meet me inside the terminal on the return?

For Gold Coast Airport pickups, yes — arrivals-hall meet and greet is included. The driver is inside the terminal with a name sign when you land and assists with your bags to the car.

Where will my driver meet me at Gold Coast Airport?

Your driver waits inside the terminal with your name on a sign — in-terminal meet and greet is included in every Gold Coast Airport (OOL) pickup fare at no extra charge, and your SMS confirmation includes arrival instructions.

What about the time difference between Queensland and NSW?

Northern NSW runs one hour ahead of Queensland during daylight saving (early October to early April). Every CGC booking is quoted and confirmed in Queensland time, and we handle the conversion — your confirmation spells out the pickup time clearly and your driver plans around your flight, so the border never costs you a flight.

Big delay and went another way and delivered me to the airport ahead of schedule. Perhaps they could manage the aircraft as it was a steep downhill after this terrific service

Chris, the proprietor and manager of CGC Transfers, initially our Uber driver, had picked us up from the airport and has provided us with the friendliest and most accommodating private transport experience. After Chris had informed us of his Private Transport business, I asked for a quote on the spot based on our itinerary and he was quick to provide with no hidden costs or issues. The price was fair given the high demands of the season and it comes with excellent communication and service from your own private driver. Highly recommend to book CGC Transfers particularly if you're in larger groups of 5-8 plus luggage. Thanks again Chris, hope to have you look after us again in the future.
