Towers of Chevron isn’t one building, it’s several sharing a name and an address. That’s fine for almost everything and a genuine complication for exactly one thing: telling a driver where to go. “Mantra Towers of Chevron” is not a pickup point, it’s a complex — and a vehicle waiting at the wrong tower is as useless as one that hasn’t arrived.
The fix is trivial once you know about it and this page leads with it because nothing else on the site covers a multi-tower address. Below: which tower, the Ferny Avenue direction and why it makes the Brisbane run easier than the airport run, both drive times honestly and how a group spread across towers gets moved.
- ✔ A fixed $90 sedan to OOL, $200 sedan to BNE — GST included
- ✔ Gateway Motorway toll inside the Brisbane price
- ✔ Your tower recorded on the booking and named in the confirmation SMS
- ✔ Groups across separate towers handled on one reservation
- ✔ Flight monitored on every airport pickup, wait time not charged
- ✔ Child seats provided and fitted, $35 per seat
About Mantra Towers of Chevron
Mantra Towers of Chevron occupies a large site on Ferny Avenue in Surfers Paradise, on the western side of the precinct between the highway corridor and the beach blocks. It’s a multi-tower apartment complex rather than a single building — self-contained one, two and three-bedroom apartments with full kitchens, laundries and separate living areas, operated under the Mantra brand with reception and housekeeping services.
Facilities typically include pools, a gym, tennis and residents’ areas across the site. Tower names, apartment configurations, facility access and reception arrangements change over time — confirm current details directly with the property when you book your stay.
The scale of the site is what shapes departures here. A complex this size takes a wide mix of guests at once: families on a week’s holiday, groups sharing three-bedroom apartments, longer corporate stays and occasional bookings spread across several towers for one event. All of them leave from different points on the same address.
Quick answer: Mantra Towers of Chevron is a multi-tower apartment complex on Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise. It is about 25 km from Gold Coast Airport and about 78 km from Brisbane Airport.

Which tower — the one detail that matters here
At a single-building address the property name is enough. At a multi-tower complex it isn’t and the consequences are practical rather than theoretical: a driver at the wrong driveway, a guest waiting at a different one and a phone call neither party wanted at 6am.
Include the tower and apartment number when you book and both go onto the booking and into your confirmation SMS along with the driver’s name and vehicle registration. That’s the whole of it — one extra field at booking and the vehicle is at the right door.
If you’re not sure which tower you’re in — easily done when the booking confirmation from the accommodation says “Towers of Chevron” and nothing else — reception can tell you at check-in. Worth asking then rather than on departure morning.
For arrivals it matters more. Landing at Gold Coast Airport and being driven to a large complex you’ve never seen, the drop-off point determines how far you walk with luggage. Give us the tower on the inbound leg too and you’re delivered to the right one.
The Ferny Avenue direction
A quirk of this address that works in your favour half the time. Ferny Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway run as a one-way pair through Surfers Paradise — Ferny northbound, the highway southbound. Leaving a Ferny Avenue driveway, the vehicle is already pointed the way it needs to go for Brisbane.
For Gold Coast Airport it’s the opposite: the run starts northbound and has to cross to the southbound side before it can head anywhere useful. It costs a couple of minutes rather than anything dramatic, but it’s the reason a Brisbane departure from this address is marginally smoother than the shorter run to OOL — which is not something you can say about many properties.
The practical effect is small and it’s already inside the pickup times quoted below. It’s mentioned because it explains something that otherwise looks odd: the longer trip being the easier one to start.
Who Towers of Chevron Suits
| Traveller | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Families on a week’s holiday | Separate bedrooms, kitchen and laundry, with pools and tennis on site |
| Groups sharing apartments | Three-bedroom layouts split better than three hotel rooms |
| Larger parties across several apartments | A site big enough to accommodate a group without splitting it across properties |
| Longer stays and relocations | Self-contained living with reception services alongside |
| Value-conscious precinct stays | A short walk further from the beach than the Esplanade towers, for noticeably less |
| Car-free visitors | Tram and the whole precinct within walking distance |
Towers of Chevron to Gold Coast Airport (OOL)
Quick answer: Gold Coast Airport is about 25 km south. A private transfer takes 30–40 minutes in normal traffic and costs a fixed $90 for a sedan, $120 for a Kia Carnival — GST included, price locked at booking. Airport pickups in the reverse direction are quoted separately.
The vehicle leaves your tower’s driveway, crosses to the southbound corridor and heads down either the Gold Coast Highway through the beach suburbs or the M1, whichever is moving at the time.
Traffic on this route
The beachfront suburbs between Mermaid Beach and Palm Beach congest on weekday afternoons from roughly 3pm to 6pm and that stretch sits on the highway route south. A trip that runs 30 minutes mid-morning can take closer to 50 in that window. The driver takes the M1 where it’s faster; where it isn’t, the margin covers it. Your quoted price is unaffected either way.
Towers of Chevron to Brisbane Airport (BNE)
Quick answer: Brisbane Airport is about 78 km north. A private transfer takes 65–85 minutes in normal traffic and costs a fixed $200 for a sedan, $260 for a Kia Carnival — Gateway Motorway toll and GST included, price locked at booking. Airport pickups in the reverse direction are quoted separately.
Northbound is the natural direction from Ferny Avenue. The vehicle joins the M1 and runs to the Logan Motorway and then the Gateway Motorway for either terminal. Brisbane’s Domestic and International terminals are separate buildings several minutes apart, so specify which one at booking. The Gateway toll sits inside your quoted price.
Traffic on this route
Northbound weekday mornings carry Brisbane commuter traffic from about 6am to 9am, which overlaps with most departure flights — allow toward the upper end of the range midweek. Southbound peaks from 3pm to 6:30pm. Friday is heaviest both ways and long weekends and school-holiday Fridays can push past 90 minutes. Pre-dawn runs are clear.
Arriving at Brisbane Airport
On inbound legs an SMS reaches you before landing with the exact meet point and terminal instructions and your flight is monitored so an early or delayed arrival needs no call from you. Brisbane Airport pickups are quoted separately from the prices above — put both directions on one reservation and both figures are confirmed upfront before you pay.
Airport Comparison for Towers of Chevron Guests
| Factor | Gold Coast Airport (OOL) | Brisbane Airport (BNE) |
|---|---|---|
| Distance from the property | ~25 km | ~78 km |
| Typical drive time | 30–40 min | 65–85 min |
| Private sedan | approx. $90 | approx. $200 (toll included) |
| Kia Carnival | approx. $120 | approx. $260 |
| Airport to property | Quoted separately — access fee applies | Quoted separately — access fee applies |
| Route type | Cross to southbound, then highway or M1, toll-free | Straight north on the M1, Logan then Gateway, toll inside the quote |
| Best for | Domestic east-coast flights, New Zealand, some international | Broader international network, more airline choice |
| Airport arrival before departure | 2 hrs domestic / 3 hrs international | 2 hrs domestic / 3 hrs international, plus drive |
Gold Coast Airport still wins clearly on both time and cost — roughly half the drive and $105 less in a sedan, widening to. The Ferny Avenue direction makes the Brisbane run marginally easier to start, but a couple of minutes doesn’t offset forty minutes and a few hundred dollars. Brisbane earns the extra when your airline, a direct international route or a materially better connection makes the case. Route detail for each sits on the Gold Coast Airport route hub and the Brisbane Airport route hub.
Fleet, Luggage and Pricing
Pricing is per vehicle, not per person. Slide or tap to compare capacity and both airport prices.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Luggage | To Gold Coast Airport (OOL) | To Brisbane Airport (BNE) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan or similar | 1–3 | Up to 2 large suitcases | a fixed $90 | a fixed $200 |
| 7-seat Kia Carnival | Up to 7 | Up to 6 large suitcases | a fixed $120 | a fixed $260 |
Need more than 7 seats? The 12-seat VW Transporter carries 8–11 passengers and up to 8 check-in suitcases plus 4 carry-on — quoted on request: call or message 0416 131 285 with your passenger count.
Every price includes GST and Brisbane runs include the Gateway toll. These are property-to-airport figures; airport pickups are quoted separately because inbound legs carry an airport access fee. Parties larger than 11 travel as multi-vehicle bookings on one reservation. An after-hours fee applies to pickups between 9pm and 6am; the prices shown assume standard-rate hours of 6am to 9pm.
Groups spread across towers
The situation this address produces more than any other we cover: eight or twelve people booked across three or four apartments in different towers, leaving the same morning on two or three different flights.
It runs as a multi-vehicle booking on one reservation, with each vehicle allocated to a tower and timed to the flight its passengers are on. Nobody gets collected from a building they aren’t staying in and nobody sits at the terminal for three hours waiting on someone else’s departure. Send the apartment list, the tower for each and the flight numbers and we’ll build the schedule.
Child seats
Queensland’s child restraint rules carry an exemption for booked hire and taxi services, so a seat is not mandatory in our vehicles — but we provide and fit them anyway at $35 per seat, itemised inside your locked quote. Rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats and boosters are all available, fitted and safety-checked before pickup, with up to 5 seats in the Kia Carnival. Full detail on our child seats page.
Boards, prams and oversized items
Prams travel on every vehicle. Surfboards, bike boxes, golf bags and anything oversized go in the Carnival or Transporter — the Carnival takes up to three boards in one or two bags alongside passengers and luggage. Mention it at booking so the right vehicle arrives.
Private Transfer vs Rideshare, Taxi and Tram
| Option | To OOL | To BNE | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| CGC private transfer | approx. $90 sedan | approx. $200 sedan | Price locked at booking, your tower on the booking, groups across towers on one reservation |
| Rideshare | Dynamic pricing | Dynamic — long run, surge exposure | The pin drops at the complex, not your tower — and a driver circling a large site burns the wait timer |
| Taxi | Metered | Metered plus tolls | The meter runs through the afternoon highway crawl and while the driver finds the right driveway |
| Tram and bus | Tram south, then a bus connection | Tram north to Helensvale, then Airtrain | Stations are walkable; impractical with a full apartment check-out |
Why a large site is hard for an app
Rideshare in Surfers has the best coverage on the coast, so a car arrives quickly. The difficulty is that the app has one pin for an address that has several entrances. The driver arrives at the complex, can’t see you, starts circling or waits at whichever driveway the map chose — and the wait timer runs the whole time. On a big site that’s a genuinely common way to end up with a cancellation and a re-book.
A pre-booked transfer has the tower written on the job before the driver leaves, so the vehicle goes to one specific driveway rather than to a name on a map.
Practical Tips for Your Stay
Note your tower at check-in
Thirty seconds with reception and it saves the one thing that reliably goes wrong at a multi-tower address. Booking confirmations from accommodation providers often say only “Towers of Chevron”, so it’s worth knowing which building you’re actually in before departure morning.
Give us the flight number
Pickups are calculated backwards from your flight — 2 hours before a domestic departure, 3 before an international, plus the drive and the time to get down through the building. Working from check-out instead leaves you at the terminal too early or too tight.
Check-out and luggage storage
Check-out is typically mid-morning; confirm the current time with the property. If your flight is later, ask reception about luggage storage rather than sitting in the lobby with your bags — there’s a beach ten minutes away.
Apartment luggage
Self-contained apartments produce heavier departures than hotel rooms. A three-bedroom check-out is a Carnival even when only four people are travelling, once the week’s shopping and beach gear are in. Size the vehicle for the return load rather than the outbound one.
Very early departures
Pre-dawn runs are the clearest of the day on both routes. Worth confirming with the property how reception, lifts and building access work before 6am, since arrangements differ between towers on a site this size.
Event weekends
Surfers hosts frequent road-affecting events with street closures around the precinct. Dates and affected streets change year to year — check with the organiser or the City of Gold Coast for current detail. Our drivers work the diversions and flagging an event at booking widens the margin.
Accessibility
For accessible apartment configurations, lift access and facilities in each tower, contact the property directly — they hold the accurate current detail. Our vehicles are standard sedans, people movers and a Transporter; raise any particular access requirements for the transfer itself at booking so we can confirm what we can accommodate before you commit.
How to Book
- Book online — select your airport and terminal, date, flight number and vehicle, with Mantra Towers of Chevron as the pickup address.
- Add your tower and apartment number — the tower is the one field that matters most at this address.
- Add any extras — child seats, boards, prams, oversized luggage or a second stop.
- For a group across towers, send the list — apartments, towers and flight numbers and we’ll build a multi-vehicle schedule on one reservation.
- Add the arrival leg if you need it — quoted separately and give us the tower for that too so you’re dropped at the right building.
- Pay by card at booking — the price is locked then. No in-car payment.
- Get your confirmation — plus an SMS the night before naming your tower, the driver and the vehicle registration.
Your quote is the fare. No surge, no metered fare, no fuel levy — a higher rate applies on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday only.
Mantra Towers of Chevron Transfer FAQs
What does a transfer from Towers of Chevron to Gold Coast Airport cost?
Around $90 in a sedan for 1–3 passengers, $120 in a Kia Carnival for up to 7. GST is inside the price and the figure is locked when you book.
What does a transfer to Brisbane Airport cost?
Around $200 in a sedan, $260 in a Kia Carnival. The Gateway Motorway toll and GST are both inside the quoted price.
Do I need to say which tower I’m in?
Yes and it’s the single most useful thing you can include. Towers of Chevron is a complex rather than a single building, so the property name alone doesn’t tell a driver which driveway to pull into. Add the tower and apartment number at booking and both appear on the job and in your confirmation SMS.
I don’t know which tower I’m booked into. How do I find out?
Reception can tell you at check-in — worth asking then rather than on departure morning. Accommodation confirmations frequently say only “Towers of Chevron”, which is why it catches people out.
Does the tower matter on the arrival leg too?
More so, arguably. Arriving at a large complex you’ve never seen, the drop-off point determines how far you walk with luggage to find your building. Give us the tower on the inbound booking and you’re delivered to the right one.
Why is the Brisbane run easier to start than the Gold Coast one?
Ferny Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway run as a one-way pair through Surfers — Ferny northbound, the highway southbound. Leaving a Ferny Avenue driveway you’re already pointed the way Brisbane needs. For Gold Coast Airport the vehicle has to cross to the southbound side first. It’s a couple of minutes, already inside the quoted pickup times, but it explains why the longer trip is the simpler one to begin.
Which airport should I use?
Gold Coast Airport, clearly — roughly half the drive time and $105 less in a sedan, widening to. The Ferny Avenue direction makes the Brisbane run marginally easier to start, but a couple of minutes doesn’t offset forty minutes and a few hundred dollars. Brisbane earns the extra when your airline or a direct international route makes the case.
How long are the drives to each airport?
Gold Coast Airport is typically 30–40 minutes across the 25 km, though weekday afternoons between about 3pm and 6pm can stretch it closer to 50. Brisbane Airport is typically 65–85 minutes across the 78 km via the M1, Logan and Gateway motorways. Your fixed price doesn’t change either way.
Can you move a group spread across several towers?
Yes and this address produces that more than any other we cover. It runs as a multi-vehicle booking on one reservation, with each vehicle allocated to a tower and timed to the flight its passengers are on. Nobody’s collected from a building they aren’t staying in and nobody waits three hours at the terminal on someone else’s departure. Send the apartment list, the tower for each and the flight numbers.
Where exactly does the driver collect me?
At your tower’s driveway. Your confirmation SMS the night before names the tower along with the driver’s name and vehicle registration, so there’s nothing to work out on the morning.
Why are airport pickups priced separately?
Collecting a passenger at an airport carries an airport access fee, which the outbound direction does not attract. Rather than average it across both legs, we quote each direction on its own so you see exactly what you are paying. Book both legs on one reservation and both figures are confirmed upfront.
What time will I be collected for my flight?
We aim to have you at the airport 2 hours before a domestic departure and 3 hours before an international one. The pickup time is that lead plus the drive and the time to get down through the building. Give us the flight number at booking and we work it back from that.
What size vehicle should I book?
Let the apartment size guide it. A one-bedroom check-out is usually a sedan; a three-bedroom is a Carnival even with only four travelling, once a week of self-catering, shopping and beach gear is in the boot. Size for the departure load rather than what you arrived with.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing you need to manage. Flights are monitored on every airport pickup and the driver adjusts to your actual landing time. Waiting is not charged — the grace period runs around 30–45 minutes on domestic arrivals and 45 minutes to an hour on international.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes. Booked hire and taxi services are exempt from Queensland’s child restraint requirements, so a seat is not mandatory in our vehicles — but we provide and fit them anyway, at $35 per seat itemised in your locked quote. Rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats and boosters are all available, fitted and safety-checked before pickup, with up to 5 seats in the Kia Carnival.
How much luggage can each vehicle take?
Two large suitcases plus carry-on in the sedan, up to six in the Kia Carnival, up to ten in the 12-seater Transporter. Boards, prams, bike boxes and oversized items travel in the Carnival or Transporter.
Is rideshare reliable at a complex this size?
Availability is fine — Surfers has the densest coverage on the coast. The problem is that the app has one pin for an address with several entrances. The driver arrives, can’t see you, circles or waits at whichever driveway the map picked and the wait timer runs throughout. On a large site that’s a common route to a cancellation. A pre-booked transfer has the tower written on the job before the driver leaves.
Can I get to the airport on the tram?
The stations are walkable and for Brisbane the tram to Helensvale connects directly to the Airtrain. Travelling light with time to spare it’s reasonable. With a full apartment check-out and a flight to catch, getting the luggage across the precinct to a platform is what makes it impractical.
Do event road closures affect my transfer?
They affect the route, not the price. Surfers hosts frequent road-affecting events with street closures around the precinct and our drivers work the diversions regularly. If you know something’s on that weekend, mention it at booking and the margin gets widened. Dates and affected streets change year to year — check with the organiser or the City of Gold Coast.
Can I book a very early or late pickup?
Yes, by pre-booking. Pickups between 9pm and 6am carry an after-hours fee and the prices shown here assume standard hours of 6am to 9pm. Your total is confirmed upfront. Pre-dawn runs are the clearest of the day and worth checking with the property how building access works at that hour.
How is payment handled and can I book both legs together?
By card online when you book, which is the point the price is locked — nothing is paid in the vehicle and corporate accounts are available by prior approval. Booking both legs on one reservation is simpler: both prices are confirmed upfront, with the airport-to-property leg quoted separately because it carries the airport access fee.
What are the cancellation terms?
More than 24 hours before pickup, a full credit applies. Within 24 hours, no credit. If your airline cancels the flight: full credit with over 4 hours’ notice, 50% between 1.5 and 4 hours, none inside 1.5 hours. Credits are non-refundable. The complete terms are on our About Us page.
Do you cover other Surfers Paradise properties?
Yes — every hotel, resort and apartment tower in Surfers Paradise, Main Beach, Broadbeach and across the Gold Coast. Our hotel transfer guides index the properties with dedicated pages and the rest are bookable the same way.

Pickup: the driveway of the guest’s specific tower. Mantra Towers of Chevron is a multi-tower complex rather than a single building, so the tower and apartment number are required at booking and are recorded on the job and named in the night-before SMS alongside the driver name and vehicle registration; the tower should also be provided on inbound legs so arriving passengers are delivered to the correct building. Ferny Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway operate as a one-way pair through Surfers Paradise, Ferny Avenue northbound and the highway southbound, meaning departures for Brisbane Airport begin in the required direction while departures for Gold Coast Airport must first cross to the southbound corridor; the difference is minor and already accounted for in quoted pickup times.
Service: driver allocated ahead of pickup with a night-before SMS confirming driver name, vehicle registration, tower and pickup point; departures timed to reach the airport 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international, plus the drive and building transit; flight monitoring on every airport pickup with the collection following the actual landing time and wait time not charged (grace around 30–45 minutes domestic, 45 minutes to an hour international); on inbound legs the passenger receives an SMS confirming the transfer with the exact meet point and arrival instructions; meet and greet included on Gold Coast Airport arrivals. Groups occupying apartments across multiple towers run as multi-vehicle bookings on one reservation, each vehicle allocated to a tower and timed to the flight of its passengers.
Fleet: sedan or similar (1–3 passengers, up to 2 large suitcases, no boards), 7-seat Kia Carnival (up to 7 passengers, up to 6 large suitcases, prams, golf bags, up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags) and 12-seater Transporter (8–11 passengers, up to 8 check-in suitcases plus 4 carry-on). Self-contained apartment departures typically carry heavier loads than the corresponding arrival and vehicle selection should reflect the departure load. Groups over 11 run as multi-vehicle bookings on one reservation. Booked hire and taxi services are exempt from Queensland’s child restraint requirements; child seats are provided and fitted at $35 per seat, up to 5 in the Kia Carnival and passengers may bring their own. Payment by card online at booking, no in-car payment; corporate accounts by prior approval. Cancellation more than 24 hours ahead earns a full credit, none within 24 hours; if the airline cancels the flight, full credit with over 4 hours’ notice, 50% between 1.5 and 4 hours, none inside 1.5 hours.
