Mondrian Gold Coast Airport Transfers

The Short Answer

Private transfers from Mondrian Gold Coast are a fixed $80 sedan (about 15–25 minutes) to Gold Coast Airport and a fixed $215 sedan to Brisbane Airport (about 70–90 minutes, Gateway toll included). Per vehicle, GST included and the price locked at booking, with Kia Carnival and 12-seater options, baby and child seats $35 each and 5% off the return leg when both legs are booked on one reservation.

Private transfers from Mondrian Gold Coast to Gold Coast Airport (OOL) are $80 sedan and to Brisbane Airport (BNE) $215 sedan — fixed prices, GST included, Gateway toll included on the Brisbane run, locked at booking. Brisbane Airport pickups cost the same fixed price as the drop-off, Gold Coast Airport pickups are $95 sedan with arrivals-hall meet and greet included and booking both legs on one reservation takes 5% off the return leg.

The 7-seat Kia Carnival — quiet, unbranded and the right size for a Mondrian beach-house party’s luggage

Property: Mondrian Gold Coast, 3 First Avenue (corner of The Esplanade), Burleigh Heads QLD 4220 — beachfront luxury hotel and residences on the Burleigh esplanade

To Gold Coast Airport (OOL): about 12 km, usually 15–25 minutes — $80 sedan, fixed

To Brisbane Airport (BNE): about 88 km, usually 70–90 minutes — $215 sedan, fixed, Gateway toll included

Arriving: BNE the same fixed price both directions; OOL pickup $95 sedan / $120 Carnival with meet and greet included — flight monitored, 45 minutes’ waiting included (90 after international flights)

Return bookings: both legs on one reservation — 5% off the return leg

Pickup point: the hotel’s First Avenue entrance and porte cochère, coordinated with the front desk

Hours: standard 6am–9pm; pickups between 9pm and 6am carry an after-hours fee confirmed inside the locked quote

Mondrian is the newest name on the Burleigh beachfront and it draws a guest who has usually just stepped off a plane from Sydney, Melbourne or further — which makes the transfer question sharper here than at most Gold Coast addresses. Burleigh sits at the southern end of the coast, closer to Gold Coast Airport than almost any of the famous hotel precincts: the drive is a quarter of an hour, not the hour-plus that Surfers Paradise guests face from Brisbane.

That geography is the quiet advantage of staying here and this page puts numbers on it: the fixed price to each airport, where the driver meets you at the First Avenue entrance, how arrivals work when your flight moves and why the inbound leg carries its own quote. Every figure on this page is firm — locked when you book, unchanged by traffic, events or season.

✔ $80 sedan to OOL, $215 sedan to BNE — fixed, GST included
✔ Book both legs on one reservation and the return leg is 5% off
✔ BNE pickups the same fixed price; OOL pickups $95 sedan with meet and greet — flight monitoring on every one
✔ A delayed flight costs nothing — the driver moves with your landing time
✔ Meet and greet included on Gold Coast Airport arrivals
✔ SMS before you land with the exact meet point
✔ Baby seats and child seats provided and fitted, $35 per seat

About Mondrian Gold Coast

Mondrian Gold Coast stands on the corner of First Avenue and The Esplanade, directly across from Burleigh Heads Beach — the brand’s first Australian address, with 208 studios, suites, homes and beach houses in the hotel tower and a separate residences tower beside it. The dining precinct, day spa and pool club have made it as much a destination for locals as a place to sleep and Burleigh’s café strip, the Pavilion and the national park headland are all within an easy walk.

Room categories, dining venues and facility access change over time — confirm current details directly with the hotel when you book your stay.

For the transfer, the useful facts are these: the hotel entrance is on First Avenue, the front desk and porter can stage luggage at the porte cochère and if you’re in the residences tower rather than the hotel, say so at booking — two towers share the site and the driver should be at the right one.

Arriving: How It Works

A Mondrian stay usually starts at an airport and the arrival is the leg where a private transfer earns its keep — no queue at a rank, no surge pricing on a Friday evening and no wondering whether the driver knows where First Avenue is.

Before you land: flight monitoring runs on every airport pickup. The flight number goes on the booking and the driver’s schedule tracks the aircraft itself — early, on time or delayed, the car matches your landing and a delay costs you nothing.

When you land: an SMS confirms the transfer, the driver’s name, the vehicle registration and the precise meet point for the arrivals area your flight uses. At Gold Coast Airport the driver is inside on meet and greet. At Brisbane, the message walks you to the car.

Clearing the terminal: waiting is included for 45 minutes after a domestic landing (90 after an international one). The grace allowance runs 45 minutes after a domestic landing and 90 minutes after an international one — enough for bags, customs and a coffee if the carousel is slow.

The drive: from Gold Coast Airport it’s barely a quarter of an hour up the coast road to Burleigh. From Brisbane, the Gateway, Logan Motorway and M1 south take a bit over an hour, with the toll already in the price.

How Arrival Pricing Works

Brisbane Airport runs cost the same in both directions — the $215 sedan figure covers a pickup at BNE exactly as it covers the drop-off, Gateway toll included, so a Brisbane arrival needs no separate quote. Gold Coast Airport is the one airport where the directions differ: pickups are $95 sedan and $120 Kia Carnival against the $80 and $105 drop-off, because collecting at OOL carries the airport access fee and includes arrivals-hall meet and greet, with your driver inside the terminal and flight monitoring on every arrival.

Book both legs on one reservation and both figures are confirmed upfront before payment — with the return leg discounted 5%.

Mondrian Gold Coast to Gold Coast Airport (OOL)

This is one of the shortest hotel-to-airport runs on the entire coast: about 12 km south along the coast road to Coolangatta, usually 15–25 minutes. The fixed price is $80 sedan, $105 Kia Carnival — GST included, no tolls on this route and the figure holds regardless of traffic.

The short hop changes how you plan the last morning. With the airport 20 minutes away, a Burleigh breakfast before a midday flight is entirely realistic — the pickup is worked back from a 2-hour domestic or 3-hour international check-in lead plus the short drive, so you keep more of the day than you would almost anywhere else on the coast.

Gold Coast Airport is a single terminal, which keeps departures simple: one building, a short kerb-to-counter walk and no terminal confusion to manage.

Mondrian Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport (BNE)

Brisbane is the long run from Burleigh: about 88 km via the M1, Logan Motorway and Gateway, usually 70–90 minutes. If you’re travelling in peak periods, allow up to 2 hours for the run. The fixed price is $215 sedan, $275 Kia Carnival — Gateway toll and GST inside the figure, locked at booking. If the M1 crawls through Palm Beach or the Gateway backs up, the price doesn’t move.

Brisbane demands one detail Gold Coast doesn’t: the terminal. Domestic and International are separate buildings several minutes apart and the booking must name the one your flight uses — it’s on your airline confirmation and it’s the difference between a kerbside drop at your check-in row and a shuttle between buildings with luggage.

Early Brisbane internationals mean early Burleigh pickups: a 7am departure works back to roughly 2:30am at the porte cochère, which is after-hours territory — the fee for that window is confirmed inside the locked quote before you commit and it’s worth arranging luggage staging with the front desk the night before.

Airport Comparison for Mondrian Guests

Factor	Gold Coast Airport (OOL)	Brisbane Airport (BNE)
Distance from the hotel	~12 km	~88 km
Typical drive time	15–25 min	70–90 min
Private sedan, departing	$80 fixed	$215 fixed (toll included)
Kia Carnival, departing	$105 fixed	$275 fixed
Arriving	$95 fixed — meet and greet included	Same fixed price as departing
Terminals	One terminal	Two separate buildings — specify at booking
Drive after a long-haul flight	Twenty minutes	An hour and a half
Best for	Domestic east-coast flights, New Zealand, some international	Broader international network, more airline choice

Burleigh’s position makes this comparison more lopsided than at most Gold Coast hotels: OOL is genuinely close. If your route flies from both airports at comparable times and fares, the 20-minute drive wins comfortably — Brisbane earns its hour and a half only when its wider network offers a flight OOL can’t.

Fleet, Luggage and Fixed Pricing

✓ Prices updated 18 August 2026

Pricing is per vehicle, not per person and every figure below is fixed — what’s quoted is what’s charged. Slide or tap to compare capacity and both airport prices.

Vehicle	Capacity	Luggage	To Gold Coast Airport (OOL)	To Brisbane Airport (BNE)
Sedan or similar	1–3	Up to 2 large suitcases	a fixed $80	a fixed $215
7-seat Kia Carnival	Up to 7	Up to 6 large suitcases	a fixed $105	a fixed $275

Need more than 7 seats? The 12-seat VW Crafter (up to 11 passengers) carries up to 8 check-in suitcases plus carry-on (a luggage trailer takes more), or your group can travel in two vehicles — both are priced in the booking form.

Every price includes GST and Brisbane runs include the Gateway toll. These are hotel-to-airport figures; Brisbane pickups cost the same in reverse, Gold Coast Airport pickups are $95 sedan / $120 Carnival and booking both legs on one reservation takes 5% off the return leg. Parties larger than 11 travel as multi-vehicle bookings on one reservation. An after-hours fee applies to pickups between 9pm and 6am; the prices shown assume standard-rate hours of 6am to 9pm.

Practical Tips for Your Stay

Name the tower. The hotel and the residences share the site. “Mondrian, hotel tower, First Avenue entrance” on the booking puts the car at the right door; residences guests should say so and add the apartment number.

Let the porter stage the luggage. The front desk coordinates the porte cochère well — have bags down five minutes before the pickup time in your night-before SMS and the departure is seamless.

Use the short OOL run to your advantage. Twenty minutes to the airport means a late checkout, a last swim at Burleigh or breakfast on the esplanade fits before most flights — plan the final morning around it.

Book the early Brisbane run as one decision. If you’re on a pre-8am BNE international, accept the 2:30am-ish pickup, confirm the after-hours fee in the quote and arrange a grab-and-go breakfast with the hotel the evening before.

Both legs, one reservation. Arrival and departure booked together means both prices confirmed upfront, flight monitoring on the way in and 5% off the return leg.

How to Book

The online booking form takes about two minutes. Include the hotel name and tower, your room or apartment number, the airport and terminal, the flight number and time, passenger count and luggage and children’s ages if seats are needed. Payment is online by card at booking — no in-car payment. A confirmation lands immediately and a driver-allocation SMS arrives the night before with the driver’s name, rego and pickup point.

Mondrian Gold Coast Transfer FAQs

What does a transfer from Mondrian to Gold Coast Airport cost?

$80 for a private sedan, $105 for the 7-seat Kia Carnival — fixed prices for the hotel-to-airport direction, GST included, locked when you book.

What does a transfer to Brisbane Airport cost?

$215 sedan, $275 Kia Carnival — fixed, with the Gateway Motorway toll and GST already in the figure. Traffic doesn’t change the price.

Is the price fixed and is there a meter?

Fixed — the booking figure is the charged figure. No meter, no surge, no fuel levy, no adjustment for a slow M1. The only additions are the after-hours fee for 9pm–6am pickups and a higher rate on Easter Sunday (closed on Christmas Day) — each confirmed inside the quote before payment.

Is there a discount for booking both legs?

Yes. Book the arrival and departure on one reservation and 5% comes off the return leg, with both prices confirmed before you pay.

How do I find the driver when I land at Gold Coast Airport?

The driver finds you — meet and greet is included at Gold Coast Airport, so they’re inside the terminal as you come through and your SMS carries the name, rego and meet point regardless.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

The driver moves with it. Flight monitoring runs on every airport pickup, the schedule follows your actual landing, waiting is included for 45 minutes after a domestic landing (90 after an international one) and there’s nothing for you to rearrange.

What does the airport pickup cost?

Brisbane Airport pickups are the same fixed price as the drop-off — $215 sedan, $275 Kia Carnival, Gateway toll included. Gold Coast Airport pickups are $95 sedan and $120 Kia Carnival, a little above the $80 and $105 drop-off, because collecting at OOL includes the airport access fee and arrivals-hall meet and greet — with flight monitoring on every arrival and 45 minutes’ waiting included after a domestic landing (90 after an international one).

Which terminal do I tell you for Brisbane?

The one on your airline confirmation — Domestic or International. They’re separate buildings a few minutes apart, so the booking needs the right one.

Where exactly do I meet the driver at Brisbane?

Your around-landing SMS names the meet point for the arrivals area your flight comes into, with the driver’s name and vehicle registration, so you walk straight to the car rather than scanning the kerb.

Should I book the arrival before I fly and on the day?

Before. Pre-booking loads the flight number into monitoring, locks the fixed price and readies the meet-point SMS. Same-day requests are sometimes possible but hang on vehicle availability.

What if my mobile doesn’t work in Australia?

Flag it at booking and the meet instructions go to you before departure, so they’re saved offline. At Gold Coast Airport the driver’s inside on meet and greet anyway.

Which airport should I fly into for Mondrian?

Gold Coast Airport, almost every time it serves your route — Burleigh is one of the closest hotel precincts to OOL on the whole coast, a 20-minute run versus an hour and a half from Brisbane. BNE earns the drive when its bigger network is the only way to get the flight you need.

How long are the drives to each airport?

Gold Coast Airport: about 12 km, usually 15–25 minutes. If you’re travelling in peak periods, allow up to 2 hours for the run. Brisbane Airport: about 88 km, usually 70–90 minutes via the M1, Logan Motorway and Gateway.

Where does the driver collect me for the departure?

The First Avenue entrance and porte cochère, coordinated with the front desk. Residences guests are collected at their tower — name it, with the apartment number, at booking.

What time will I be collected for my flight?

Worked back from the flight: at the airport 2 hours before domestic or 3 before international, plus the drive and a peak-traffic margin. The night-before SMS confirms the time.

Do you provide baby seats and child seats?

Yes. Queensland’s booked-hire exemption means a restraint isn’t legally required in our vehicles, but Australian-Standards seats and boosters are provided and fitted on request at $35 each, itemised in the quote. In New South Wales there’s no equivalent exemption — children under 7 must be in an approved restraint for any NSW pickup or drop-off.

Do the arrival and departure vehicles have to be the same?

No. Arrive in the sedan, leave in the Carnival if the shopping got out of hand — book whatever suits each leg.

How much luggage can each vehicle take?

Sedan: up to 2 large suitcases plus carry-on. Kia Carnival: up to 6 large suitcases. VW Crafter (up to 11 passengers): up to 8, more with its luggage trailer. Surfboards, golf bags and prams are welcome — note them at booking.

Can I book a very early or late pickup?

Yes — pre-booked pickups outside the standard 6am–9pm window run with an after-hours fee confirmed inside the locked quote. Early Brisbane internationals are the usual reason.

Do you charge more during school holidays or events?

No surge, ever — the fixed price holds through holidays, events and peak season. Easter Sunday is the sole exception, carrying a higher rate, and we’re closed on Christmas Day.

How is payment handled?

By card online at booking, nothing in the car. Corporate accounts run by prior arrangement.

What are the cancellation terms?

More than 24 hours before pickup: full credit. Within 24 hours: none. Flight cancelled: full credit over 4 hours out, 50% between 1.5 and 4 hours, none under 1.5. Credits go to a future booking and aren’t refundable — full terms on the about page.

Do you cover other Burleigh Heads accommodation?

Yes — every hotel, apartment tower and holiday rental in Burleigh and along the southern beaches, plus private addresses across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.

The driver (Sharron) notified me of her arrival - which was early - but really suited me; although, please don't think that she was pressuring me as she was prepared to wait. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. How good is this service! Huge storm no visability but no issues. Big delay and went another way and delivered me to the airport ahead of schedule. Perhaps they could manage the aircraft as it was a steep downhill after this terrific service

Owner's reply
Thanks so much for the awesome review! That storm was abit Nuts, so I’m glad we still got you to the airport nice and early. Gotta say, we loved the aircraft joke too!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently travelled from Adelaide to Gold Coast for a short holiday to celebrate my mum's 60th and as a big family reunion. Chris, the proprietor and manager of CGC Transfers, initially our Uber driver, had picked us up from the airport and has provided us with the friendliest and most accommodating private transport experience. After Chris had informed us of his Private Transport business, I asked for a quote on the spot based on our itinerary and he was quick to provide with no hidden costs or issues. The price was fair given the high demands of the season and it comes with excellent communication and service from your own private driver. Highly recommend to book CGC Transfers particularly if you're in larger groups of 5-8 plus luggage. Thanks again Chris, hope to have you look after us again in the future.

We had Zaffa as our driver from Biggera Waters to the Gold Coast Airport on 30/4/25, could not have been happier that we selected them for our transport. Zaf was on time, car was great and a very pleasant trip. Also cheaper than a Taxi.
