Weekday afternoons between about 3pm and 6pm are the main consideration and they affect Bermuda Street and the M1 alike. School zones around Benowa and Ashmore slow the first few minutes in term time, morning and afternoon. Beyond that this is a straightforward run — the resort’s position off the beachfront grid means it avoids the two worst congestion patterns on the coast entirely. We allow for conditions in the pickup time, not the fare and your fixed price does not change.

Route flexibility

Unlike the beachfront and Spit resorts, there is no single road everything depends on here. Bermuda Street, Southport–Nerang Road and the Nerang–Broadbeach Road all connect the resort to the motorway, so a driver hitting an incident on one simply takes another. That is the main reason departure margins from Royal Pines can be tighter than from a Main Beach address without any added risk.

Traffic on this route

Northbound weekday mornings carry commuter traffic from about 6am to 9am, which is when most departure flights want you moving — allow toward the upper end of the range midweek. Southbound peaks from 3pm to 6:30pm. Friday is heaviest both ways and long weekends and school-holiday Fridays can push past 90 minutes. Pre-dawn runs are clear.

Arriving at Brisbane Airport

Golf clubs

The single most important booking detail from this address. Clubs travel in the Kia Carnival or the 12-seater Transporter, never a sedan — two golfers with two bags will exhaust a sedan’s boot long before they run out of seats and discovering that at the porte cochère on a morning with a flight to catch is nobody’s idea of a good start. Tell us the number of bags when you book and the right vehicle is allocated from the outset. A fourball with clubs and luggage is a Carnival.

Conference and delegate departures

Event days here produce a distinctive pattern: twenty or thirty delegates leaving across a single morning, on a dozen different flights, most heading to OOL but some to Brisbane. Multi-vehicle bookings run on one reservation with each vehicle timed to its own flight, so nobody sits at the terminal for three hours and nobody misses a departure. Book the vehicle around the clubs, not the headcount

The mistake most often made from this address. Four golfers fit in a sedan on paper and never in practice once the bags come out. Count the clubs first and the passengers second and the booking looks after itself.

Check-out and departure timing

Check-out is typically mid-morning; confirm the current time with the resort. If your flight is later, the concierge can hold luggage so you can play a final round or use the spa rather than sitting in the lobby. Give us the flight number and we set the pickup from it, not from check-out.

Transfers collect from the main resort porte cochère off Ross Street, coordinated with the concierge. Provide your room number at booking so the bell desk can stage your luggage and clubs before the vehicle arrives. Your SMS the night before carries the driver’s name, vehicle registration and pickup point.

A round before you fly

Common request here and it works with an afternoon or evening departure. Tell us at booking and we set the pickup from your flight rather than check-out, with clubs and luggage loaded straight from the concierge. It needs arranging in advance rather than on the day.

Parking

The resort has on-site parking with arrangements set by the property and subject to change — confirm directly with them. Guests arriving by transfer skip it entirely, which is worth noting across a week-long conference stay.

Accessibility

The resort has step-free entry at the porte cochère and lift access in the tower. Getting to the beach and back

Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach are both a short drive east and Pacific Fair is close by. Worth planning around if you have a day between golf and your flight — and if you want a stop on the way to the airport, a second pickup or drop-off can be added at booking.
