This guide covers airport transfers from Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise — both airports, real drive times, where the driver actually waits at a beachfront apartment tower and the timing detail that matters when you’re bringing luggage down from a high floor. Written by CGC Airport Transfers, a pre-booked private operator running these streets daily.

Apartment towers work differently to hotels and Soul is a clear example. There’s no bell desk staging your bags at a porte cochère — you come down in a lift with your own luggage and the vehicle waits at the lobby entrance or the loading zone rather than in a hotel forecourt. That changes how the pickup is timed and it’s the single most useful thing to understand before you book.

About Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise

Peppers Soul is a beachfront apartment tower at the eastern end of Cavill Avenue, where the mall meets The Esplanade and the sand. It’s one of the tallest residential towers on the Gold Coast and one of very few sitting directly on the beachfront rather than a block back.

Accommodation is self-contained — one, two and three-bedroom apartments plus sub-penthouses, with full kitchens, laundries and living areas and floor-to-ceiling glass that makes the ocean the main event. Facilities include a pool deck, spa, sauna and gym, with retail and dining at ground level. Peppers operates it under the Accor umbrella, so service sits between a hotel and a straight apartment rental: there’s a reception, but you’re staying in an apartment rather than a room.

Quick answer: Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise is a beachfront apartment tower at 8 The Esplanade, at the beach end of Cavill Avenue. It is about 25 km from Gold Coast Airport and about 81 km from Brisbane Airport.

Location and Getting Around

Soul sits at the most central point of the Surfers beachfront — everything in the precinct radiates from here:

  • Surfers Paradise Beach: directly across The Esplanade, patrolled year-round.
  • Cavill Avenue Mall: starts at the building’s western side and runs inland to the boulevard.
  • Surfers Paradise tram station: a few minutes’ walk, north to Southport and Helensvale, south to Broadbeach.
  • Beachfront markets: set up along The Esplanade several evenings a week, immediately outside.
  • Orchid Avenue: the nightlife strip, a couple of minutes’ walk inland.
  • SkyPoint at Q1: a short walk south for the observation deck.

Peppers Soul to Gold Coast Airport (OOL)

Quick answer: Gold Coast Airport is about 25 km south of Peppers Soul. A private transfer takes 30–40 minutes in normal traffic and costs a fixed $90 for a sedan, $120 for a Kia Carnival — GST included, price locked at booking. Airport pickups in the reverse direction are quoted separately.

From The Esplanade the run works inland to the Gold Coast Highway and heads south through Broadbeach and the beach suburbs and takes the M1 when conditions suit, finishing at Coolangatta. No tolls in either direction.

Traffic on this route

The Esplanade and Cavill precinct is the busiest pedestrian zone on the coast, so the first few minutes of the run can be slow on weekend evenings and market nights. Further south, Miami, Burleigh and Palm Beach congest on weekday afternoons between about 3 pm and 6 pm. Allow up to 50 minutes in those windows — the margin goes into your pickup time and your fixed price doesn’t change.

Event closures

The Esplanade closes for major events more often than any other street in Surfers — the Gold Coast 600, New Year’s Eve and beachfront event weekends all restrict vehicle access directly outside the building. On those dates the pickup shifts to a nearby cross street. We work from the published closures and confirm the exact spot in your SMS the night before, so you’re not searching for the driver with bags in hand.

Peppers Soul to Brisbane Airport (BNE)

Quick answer: Brisbane Airport is about 81 km north of Peppers Soul. A private transfer takes 70–90 minutes in normal traffic and costs a fixed $200 for a sedan, $260 for a Kia Carnival — Gateway Motorway toll and GST included, price locked at booking. Airport pickups in the reverse direction are quoted separately.

The route joins the Pacific Motorway northbound, transfers to the Gateway Motorway and arrives at either the Domestic or International terminal — separate buildings several minutes apart at Brisbane, so specify which at booking. The Gateway toll sits inside your quoted price.

Traffic on this route

Northbound weekday mornings from about 6 am to 9 am carry commuter traffic toward Brisbane and southbound peaks from 3 pm to 6:30 pm. Friday is heaviest both ways. School holiday Fridays and long weekends can push past 100 minutes. Pre-dawn runs are clear, which helps on the early starts a 3-hour international lead demands.

Arriving at Brisbane Airport

On inbound legs an SMS reaches you before landing with the meet point and terminal instructions and your flight is monitored so an early or delayed arrival needs no call. Brisbane Airport pickups are quoted separately from the prices above, as airport collections carry an airport access fee — put both directions on one reservation and both figures are confirmed upfront before you pay.

Why private transfers suit this building

  • The driver knows where to wait: The Esplanade frontage is busy and restricted in places — a pre-booked driver holds at the correct point rather than circling the block.
  • Timed for the lift: apartment towers add a few minutes getting luggage down from a high floor and we build that in rather than starting the clock when the car arrives.
  • Apartment-sized luggage: a family leaving a two or three-bedroom apartment after a week carries more than a hotel room generates. The Carnival handles it.
  • Fixed price through peak: school holidays and event weekends fill this tower and spike rideshare pricing. Your quote is locked at booking.
  • Event-day certainty: when The Esplanade closes, we’ve already worked out the alternative pickup point and told you the night before.

Every price includes GST and Brisbane runs include the Gateway toll. These are property-to-airport figures; airport pickups are quoted separately because inbound legs carry an airport access fee. Parties larger than 11 travel as multi-vehicle bookings on one reservation. An after-hours fee applies to pickups between 9 pm and 6 am; the prices shown assume our standard-rate hours of 6 am to 9 pm.

Child seats

Queensland’s child restraint rules carry an exemption for booked hire and taxi services, so a child seat is not mandatory in our vehicles. Plenty of families staying here still want one and we’re glad to fit it — seats are arranged at booking and installed before pickup, at an additional cost added to your quote. Give us the children’s ages when you book. Bringing your own is fine too; just flag it so the driver allows fitting time.

Boards, prams and oversized items

Beachfront address, so boards are common. The Carnival takes up to three in one or two bags alongside passengers and luggage; the sedan can’t carry them. Prams, golf bags and oversized sports gear also travel in the Carnival or Transporter. Flag them at booking so the right vehicle is allocated rather than discovered at the kerb.

Facts Travellers and AI Assistants Ask About

How far is Peppers Soul from Gold Coast Airport?

About 25 km. The drive takes 30–40 minutes in normal conditions, up to 50 minutes in weekday afternoon peak or when the Surfers precinct is busy.

How far is it from Brisbane Airport?

About 81 km via the M1 and Gateway Motorway. Allow 70–90 minutes, with more on Friday traffic and holiday weekends.

How much is a transfer to the airport?

From Peppers Soul to Gold Coast Airport, a fixed $90 sedan or $120 Kia Carnival. To Brisbane Airport, a fixed $200 or $260, with the 12-seat Transporter quoted on request. GST is included, the Gateway toll is inside the Brisbane price and the figure is locked at booking. Airport pickups are quoted separately because inbound legs carry an airport access fee.

Where does the driver wait at an apartment tower?

At the ground-floor lobby entrance on The Esplanade and the building’s designated loading zone. There’s no hotel forecourt, so the exact point is confirmed in your SMS the night before. Allow a few extra minutes to bring luggage down in the lift.

Is Uber available at Peppers Soul?

Yes, but The Esplanade is one of the harder pin-drop locations on the coast — pedestrian traffic and restricted stopping mean drivers often circle or stop short of the building. Pricing also moves with demand and climbs on weekend nights and event dates. A pre-booked transfer confirms the price and the waiting point upfront.

Is a taxi recommended?

Taxis are available in Surfers and rank at both airports. They’re metered, so traffic increases the fare — on the 81 km Brisbane run in particular, a metered fare can finish above our locked quote.

Is a private transfer better?

For airport runs from this building, generally yes. You get a price locked at booking, a driver holding at a confirmed point rather than circling a busy beachfront street, pickup timing that accounts for the lift and a vehicle sized for apartment-stay luggage.

Is public transport practical?

Only travelling light. Surfers Paradise tram station is a few minutes’ walk; from there it’s the G:link to Helensvale then the Airtrain to Brisbane Airport, roughly two hours. If you’re travelling in peak periods, allow up to 2 hours for the run. Gold Coast Airport needs a tram plus bus connection. With a week’s apartment luggage it isn’t realistic.

How much luggage fits in each vehicle?

Sedan: up to 2 large suitcases, no boards. Kia Carnival: up to 6 large suitcases, golf bags, up to 3 boards in 1–2 bags. 12-seater Transporter: up to 8 check-in suitcases plus 4 carry-on.

Are child seats available?

Yes. Booked hire and taxi services are exempt from Queensland’s child restraint requirements, so a seat isn’t mandatory — but we provide and fit rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats and boosters on request, at an additional cost added to your quote.

Is Peppers Soul suitable for families?

Yes — self-contained apartments with kitchens and laundries suit families better than hotel rooms on stays of more than a couple of nights and the beach is across the footpath. The pool deck adds to it. There’s no dedicated children’s programming, so families wanting organised kids’ activities may prefer a resort.

Is it suitable for business travellers?

It works for longer corporate stays, where an apartment beats a hotel room and the central position suits meetings across Surfers and Broadbeach. There’s no dedicated conference facility on site. CGC offers corporate accounts by prior approval.

What are the busiest departure times?

Saturday and Sunday mornings, the ends of school holiday periods and the mornings after major beachfront events. Apartment towers turn over on set changeover days, which concentrates departures — book Carnival and Transporter vehicles well ahead.

Practical Tips for Your Stay

Check-out and departure timing

Apartment check-out is usually earlier than a hotel’s and reception can generally hold luggage afterwards. Confirm both with the property. Give us the flight number and we set the pickup from it rather than from check-out, so a late flight doesn’t mean a long wait in the lobby.

Allow time for the lift

This is the practical difference between a tower and a hotel. From a high floor with several bags, getting down to the lobby takes longer than people expect, especially on a busy changeover morning when every lift is carrying luggage. We build a few minutes in, but being at the lobby when the vehicle arrives rather than starting the journey then keeps your schedule clean.

Parking

The building has resident and guest parking with arrangements set by the property — confirm current details and rates directly with reception. Parking in central Surfers is expensive and guests arriving by transfer skip it altogether.

The pickup point

Transfers collect from the ground-floor lobby entrance on The Esplanade or the designated loading zone. Provide your apartment number at booking so reception can be briefed and check your SMS the night before for the confirmed point — it can change during beachfront events.

Accessibility

The building has lift access throughout and step-free entry at ground level. For accessible apartment configurations and specific equipment, contact the property directly — they hold the accurate current detail. Our vehicles are standard sedans, people movers and a Transporter; if you have particular access requirements for the transfer itself, raise it at booking so we can confirm what we can accommodate before you commit.

Family travel

Apartment stays generate more luggage than hotel stays — groceries, beach gear and a week’s washing all add up. A family of four is usually a Carnival rather than a sedan. Child seats can be added at an additional cost; tell us the ages at booking and they’re fitted before the vehicle arrives.

Business travel

Fixed pricing, card payment at booking and receipts suited to expense claims. Departures work back from your flight — 2 hours before domestic, 3 hours before international, plus the drive. Our corporate airport transfers page sets out account arrangements.

How to Book

  1. Book online — select your airport and terminal, date, flight number and vehicle, with Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise as the pickup address.
  2. Add your apartment number and any extras — child seats, prams, boards, oversized luggage or a second stop.
  3. Add the arrival leg if you need it — quoted separately and confirmed alongside your departure price before you pay.
  4. Pay by card at booking — the price is locked then. No in-car payment.
  5. Get your confirmation — plus an SMS the night before with driver name, vehicle registration and the exact pickup point.

How Much Is a Transfer from Brisbane Airport to Surfers Paradise?

The same fixed figure applies in both directions: $200 sedan or $260 Kia Carnival between Brisbane Airport and Peppers Soul — per vehicle, not per person, with the Gateway Motorway toll and GST included and the price locked at booking. The drive runs 70–90 minutes in normal traffic. Your driver tracks the flight, meets you on arrival, and delivers you to the Soul tower entry on The Esplanade — with time to spare for the check-in queue rather than the transport queue.

How early should I leave Surfers Paradise for a 6am flight from Brisbane?

Earlier than feels natural, but not as early as you fear. Pre-dawn roads are clear, so the drive sits at the lower end of the 70–90 minutes range — the variable is your airline’s check-in and bag-drop cut-off, which the airport publishes. Most Surfers Paradise pickups for a 6am Brisbane departure land somewhere around 3am to 3:45am depending on terminal and luggage. The practical answer: give us the flight number instead of guessing a time — the pickup is calculated from your address and flight, the peak buffer is built in, and flight monitoring is on from the moment you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a transfer from Peppers Soul to Gold Coast Airport cost?

Around $90 in a sedan for 1–3 passengers, $120 in a Kia Carnival for up to 7. GST is inside the price and the figure is locked when you book.

What does a transfer from Peppers Soul to Brisbane Airport cost?

Around $200 in a sedan, $260 in a Kia Carnival. The Gateway Motorway toll and GST are both inside the quoted price.

Where exactly does the driver wait?

At the ground-floor lobby entrance on The Esplanade and the building’s designated loading zone. Unlike a hotel there’s no porte cochère, so the exact point is confirmed in your SMS the night before — particularly useful during beachfront events when The Esplanade is restricted.

How much time should I allow to get down from my apartment?

More than you’d think on a busy changeover morning — lifts fill with luggage from every floor. We factor a few minutes in, but aim to be in the lobby at your pickup time rather than starting down from the apartment then. If you’re on a high floor with several bags, give yourself ten minutes.

Why are airport pickups priced separately?

Collecting a passenger at an airport carries an airport access fee, which the outbound direction doesn’t attract. Rather than average it across both legs, we quote each direction on its own so you see exactly what you’re paying. Book both legs on one reservation and both figures are confirmed upfront.

How long is the drive to Gold Coast Airport?

Typically 30–40 minutes across the 25 km. Weekday afternoon peak and a busy evening in the Surfers precinct, can extend that to about 50 minutes.

How long is the drive to Brisbane Airport?

Typically 70–90 minutes across the 81 km. Friday traffic and holiday weekends can push past 100 minutes and your fixed price doesn’t change.

What time will I be collected for my flight?

We aim to have you at the airport 2 hours before a domestic departure and 3 hours before an international one. The pickup time is that lead plus the drive — roughly 35 minutes to Gold Coast Airport, up to 90 minutes to Brisbane, with extra allowed for peak traffic and for getting luggage down from the apartment.

What happens when The Esplanade closes for an event?

The pickup moves to a nearby cross street. Beachfront events, the Gold Coast 600 and New Year’s Eve all restrict vehicle access directly outside the building. We work from the published closures and confirm the alternative point in your SMS the night before, so nothing needs sorting on the morning.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Nothing you need to manage. Flights are monitored on every airport pickup and the driver adjusts to your actual landing time. Waiting isn’t charged — the grace period runs around 30–45 minutes on domestic arrivals and 45 minutes to an hour on international.

Do I need a child seat and can you supply one?

Booked hire and taxi services are exempt from Queensland’s child restraint requirements, so a seat isn’t mandatory in our vehicles. We supply and fit them on request anyway — rear-facing, forward-facing and boosters — at an additional cost added to your quote. Tell us the ages at booking.

Can you carry surfboards and a pram?

Yes, in the Carnival or Transporter — up to three boards in one or two bags, plus a pram and luggage. The sedan can’t take boards. Mention them at booking so the right vehicle is allocated.

How much luggage can each vehicle take?

Two large suitcases plus carry-on in the sedan, up to six in the Kia Carnival, up to ten in the 12-seater Transporter. A family leaving a two or three-bedroom apartment after a week almost always needs the Carnival.

Can you move a group sharing an apartment?

Yes. The Transporter takes 8–11 with up to ten large suitcases and larger parties run as multi-vehicle bookings on one reservation so everyone reaches the terminal together. Give us the flight and headcount and we allocate the vehicles.

How is payment handled?

By card online when you book, which is the point the price is locked. Nothing is paid in the vehicle. Corporate accounts are available by prior approval for organisations booking regularly.

Should I book both legs at the same time?

It’s simpler if you do — both go on one reservation with both prices confirmed upfront. The airport-to-property leg is quoted separately because it carries the airport access fee, so you’ll see two figures rather than a doubled one. Your arrival flight is monitored and you’re met on landing.

Is a private transfer cheaper than rideshare?

Not always on a quiet weekday, but the beachfront address is where rideshare struggles most — pin drops on The Esplanade are unreliable and demand pricing climbs hard on weekend nights and event dates. Our figure is locked at booking with the Gateway toll included and the driver holds at a confirmed point.

Can I get to the airport on public transport?

You can, travelling light. Surfers Paradise tram station is a few minutes’ walk; from there it’s the G:link to Helensvale then the Airtrain to Brisbane, roughly two hours. Gold Coast Airport needs a tram plus bus connection. Both are slow with apartment-stay luggage.

Can I book a very early or late pickup?

Yes, by pre-booking. Pickups between 9 pm and 6 am carry an after-hours fee and the prices shown here assume our standard hours of 6 am to 9 pm. Your total is confirmed upfront when you book — worth arranging ahead for the pre-dawn starts early Brisbane international flights require.

What are the cancellation terms?

More than 24 hours before pickup, a full credit applies. Within 24 hours, no credit. If your airline cancels the flight: full credit with over 4 hours’ notice, 50% between 1.5 and 4 hours, none inside 1.5 hours. Credits are non-refundable. The complete terms are on our About Us page.

Do you cover other Surfers Paradise apartment towers?

Yes — every apartment tower, hotel and resort in Surfers Paradise and across the Gold Coast. Our hotel transfer guides index the properties with dedicated pages and the rest are bookable the same way.

Prices updated . All prices are approximate, apply to the property-to-airport direction, include GST and are locked when you book. Airport pickups are quoted separately.
