Brisbane Airport is a fixed $330 or $480 in either direction. Husk is at 1152 Dulguigan Road, North Tumbulgum, about 50 km from Surfers Paradise and 25 km from Gold Coast Airport; pickups from other Gold Coast suburbs are priced instantly in the booking form.

Husk Distillers transfers with CGC are private, pre-booked and fixed-price: a sedan or Kia Carnival from Gold Coast Airport, Brisbane Airport or your Gold Coast hotel straight to the distillery on its cane farm in the Tweed Valley, with the fare confirmed before you book and locked whatever the traffic does. A distillery tour ends with a tasting flight and the cellar door does cocktails, so the point of a driver is simple: everyone gets to enjoy it and nobody counts drinks. CGC Airport Transfers has run pre-booked private transfers across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW since 2020. One booking, one vehicle, no shared stops. It is not a taxi, rideshare or shared shuttle.

Because CGC is a Queensland-registered booked-hire service, every trip starts or finishes in Queensland: from Gold Coast Airport, Brisbane Airport or any Gold Coast address to Husk, and back. Trips that start and finish in New South Wales — Kingscliff, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah or Byron Bay to the distillery — are outside our licence.

From Gold Coast Airport the run is about 25 km: south on the M1 across the border into the Tweed Valley, then the cane-farm roads to North Tumbulgum — around 30 minutes off-peak. From Surfers Paradise it is about 50 km and around 45 to 50 minutes; from Brisbane Airport about 130 to 140 km and around 1 hour 40 minutes, Gateway toll included in the fare. For a full Tweed day that adds Tropical Fruit World or the Tweed Regional Gallery in Murwillumbah, see our [day trip hire](https://cgctransfers.com.au/day-trip-hire/) and the [Tweed guide](https://cgctransfers.com.au/things-to-do-tweed-region/).

Pre-booked service only, with the drop-off timed to your tour or lunch booking and the return pickup at whatever time suits you — tell us at booking, and the driver is waiting at the distillery. Weekends and school holidays — no surge. Book both legs on one reservation and a 5% discount applies to the return leg.

## Husk Distillers: What to Expect

Husk Farm Distillery describes itself as Australia’s only single-estate, paddock-to-bottle rum distillery: the sugarcane grows on the farm around it, and the rum is made from fresh-crushed cane during the annual harvest. It is also the home of Ink Gin, the gin that changes colour when the tonic goes in, made with butterfly pea flower and native lemon myrtle in the summer months. The farm looks out over the Tweed Valley to Wollumbin.

The Farm-to-Bottle Distillery Tour goes behind the scenes of the rum: you cut and crush your own sugarcane, taste the fresh juice and finish with a guided tasting flight in the barrel house. The daily Tasting Trail Tour covers the native botanicals in Ink Gin and the farm, with spirits and cocktails along the way. Afterwards there is the Cellar Door bar for cocktails, long lunches at Planter’s Kitchen, the lawns, live music and the shop. Tour times and bookings are on [Husk’s own site](https://www.huskdistillers.com/).

**The one detail that decides a Husk pickup:** the time zone. Husk runs on New South Wales time, an hour ahead of the Gold Coast during daylight saving — a 1pm lunch booking is midday Queensland time. Tell us the time as Husk confirmed it and we set the pickup in Queensland time.

## Fleet Available for Husk Distillers Transfers

Two core vehicles handle most distillery bookings — the Sedan or similar for couples, and the Kia Carnival for groups of friends, families and anyone bringing home a few bottles. For groups of 8–11, the 12-seater VW Crafter keeps everyone together, priced in the booking form.

Kia Carnival — groups of friends, families and a boot full of bottles

| Vehicle | Capacity | Luggage | Best for |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Sedan or similar | 1–3 passengers | Day bags and a few bottles | Couples, small groups |

| 12-seater VW Crafter | 8–11 passengers | Group bags | Hens and bucks parties, work outings, priced in the booking form |

## Example Day: the Farm in the Morning, Husk in the Afternoon

Four friends staying in Coolangatta want Tropical Fruit World and Husk in one day. Separate transfers don’t link the two stops, so they book [day hire](https://cgctransfers.com.au/day-trip-hire/) in the Kia Carnival, from $750 for the day with one driver.

The driver collects them mid-morning in Queensland time for the farm’s tractor tour, waits while they do the tasting and the market, then runs the 15 minutes to Husk for lunch at Planter’s Kitchen and the distillery tour. Every booking time they give is NSW time; the pickups are set in Queensland time.

Nobody drives after the tasting flight, the bottles ride home in the boot, and they are back in Coolangatta by late afternoon.

## Frequently Asked Questions on Husk Distillers Transfers

### How much is a transfer to Husk Distillers?

A fixed $210 Sedan or similar or $285 Kia Carnival each way from Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach, $130 or $165 from Gold Coast Airport, $115 or $150 from the distillery back to the airport, and $330 or $480 between Husk and Brisbane Airport in either direction — per vehicle, GST included, locked at booking. Pickups from other Gold Coast hotels and homes are priced instantly in the booking form from your exact address.

### How much is Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach to Husk Distillers?

A fixed $210 Sedan or similar or $285 Kia Carnival, per vehicle, in either direction — about 50 km and around 45 to 50 minutes from Surfers Paradise. Book the return on the same reservation and the trip home is 5% off.

### How much is Gold Coast Airport to Husk Distillers?

A fixed $130 Sedan or similar or $165 Kia Carnival, per vehicle, for the roughly 25 km run to North Tumbulgum — around 30 minutes off-peak. In-terminal meet and greet is included on every Gold Coast Airport pickup.

### Why does the trip from the airport cost more than the trip back?

Airport pickups include in-terminal meet and greet and waiting time from your actual landing, so the driver is in the terminal before you reach the exit. The trip from Husk back to the airport is a straight drop-off: $115 Sedan or similar or $150 Kia Carnival.

### How much is Brisbane Airport to Husk Distillers?

A fixed $330 Sedan or similar or $480 Kia Carnival, per vehicle, in either direction — about 130 to 140 km and around 1 hour 40 minutes off-peak, with the Gateway toll and GST included.

### Can you pick us up from other Gold Coast suburbs?

Yes. Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach are a fixed $210 / $285; pickups from Burleigh Heads, Coolangatta and every other Gold Coast address are priced instantly in the booking form from your exact address, and the price is locked at booking.

### Can you take us from Kingscliff, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah or Byron Bay to Husk?

No. CGC is a Queensland-registered booked-hire service, and our licence conditions don’t allow trips that start and finish in New South Wales. Every trip has to start or finish in Queensland — Gold Coast Airport, Brisbane Airport or a Gold Coast address.

### Are Husk’s tour and lunch times in Queensland or NSW time?

NSW time. Husk is in New South Wales, which runs an hour ahead of Queensland during daylight saving, from early October to early April. Our pickups are always booked in Queensland time — tell us your booking time at Husk and we work it out.

### Should we book the tour or lunch before the transfer?

Yes. Book your tour, tasting or Planter’s Kitchen table with Husk first — weekends and school holidays fill up — then book the transfer around it, with the return on the same reservation for 5% off.

### Where does the driver drop off and pick up?

At the distillery at 1152 Dulguigan Road, North Tumbulgum. The return pickup is from the same spot at the time on your booking.

### Can I set a return pickup time, and change it on the day?

Yes. Set the return time when you book — most people allow a little time after the tour or lunch for the cellar door — and text us on the day if you are running early or late.

### Can we do Tropical Fruit World and Husk in one day?

Yes — they are about 15 minutes apart and pair naturally. Separate transfers don’t link the stops, so the easy way is [day hire](https://cgctransfers.com.au/day-trip-hire/): one driver and a Kia Carnival for up to 7 people from $750 for the day. See our [Tropical Fruit World transfers](https://cgctransfers.com.au/tropical-fruit-world-transfers/) page for the farm.

### Can you take a group, like a birthday or hens party?

Yes. The 12-seater VW Crafter carries up to eleven and is priced in the booking form, or add a second vehicle: from Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach a Kia Carnival + Sedan or similar is $495 and 2 × Kia Carnival is $570; from Gold Coast Airport they are $295 and $330.

### Do you provide baby seats and child seats?

Yes — rear-facing baby seats, forward-facing child seats and boosters are fitted before pickup at $35 per seat, added to your quote at booking. In New South Wales every child under 7 must travel in an approved restraint, so tell us each child’s age when you book.

### Is this a private transfer or a shared shuttle?

Private. The vehicle is reserved for your booking and travels directly between your pickup and the distillery — no shared stops.

### Is the fare per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. Seven friends in the Kia Carnival pay the same $165 from Gold Coast Airport as a couple would — the price never multiplies by headcount.

### Is there room for the bottles we buy?

Yes. Cellar door purchases travel in the boot, and the Kia Carnival has plenty of room for a group’s bags and bottles.

### What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup and the full amount is held as credit for a future booking; within 24 hours no credit applies.

### How do I pay?

By card online at booking, through the secure payment link — every transfer is pre-booked and paid before travel, with no in-car payment.
